Deconstruct walls until you find another dwarf. Make cheese from this dwarf.
Holy carp. She's too young for that stuff!!! I mean, milking other dwarves... shit, I'm retarded.

>Fall in a strange mood
>Ask for metal, green glass, cave spider silk, shells etc.
She's supposed to be a cheesmaker, not a metalcrafter, so she should ask for milk and quarry bush leaves.

>
Inspect this new room and see if there are any cheese-making items
.. and then get the hell out of there!

I just saw a guy with two broken legs push a minecart with a corpse in it. Yeah.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It looks like the wall must have been mined out at some point, probably to get at some valuable gem cluster or metal deposit.  They must have patched the hole with low-value stone blocks.

Looks like the current owner of this room is out at the moment.  That, or no one lives here.  It's pretty barren.

Apply flawless dwarven logic:
1. You absolutely have to leave the living quarters and embark to Shielddawn. Your destiny lies there! (and comfortable wooden beds!)
but
2. You are not allowed to open doors currently.
3. Letting a door stand open would be against the fortress security guidelines.

ergo:

Deconstruct the door and take it with you as you go in search of the migrant party.

The dresser is empty.  Looks like no one lives here, after all.

Not that it's surprising; there are hundreds of free-to-use rooms in the mountainhome, and most dwarves choose theirs at random.

The door is unforbidden.

You suppose no one expected you to tear down the wall.

EDIT: Keas restricted to tropical forests where they belong.  Those evil, EVIL, foul little things.

Edit: The baby murderer became a friend of the fortress, which started a loyalty cascade, and now most of the squad is dead.

Hey guys, no updates today.  The next one's gonna be kinda big (i.e. not copy-paste sets), so it'll be another day before I've got it ready to go.

EDIT: Okay, drawing this is taking significantly longer than I thought it would.

evictedSaint what are you doin with all of the adorableness up in this thread?

evictedSaint sthap! >:U

This is Dwarf Fortress, all of y'all already know this story does not have a happy ending rainbow at the end! You all already know The littlest cheesemaker is going to be the last [air qoute]"living"[/air qoute] thing on the landscape as a vampire werewolf mummy necromancer, caked with so much blood it might as well be a second skin layer, with the heads of several demons and human kings tied in a knot at the hair around her neck like a trophy necklace. And that is like, the ceiling absolute best case scenario!

*grabs popcorn* Ooooh, this gon be goood....
