Ooh, a Plump Helmet Man!  Be careful!  They only pretend to be meek and shy when they're in the minority and being watched...

> Befriend Plumpy and protect him from whoever took a bite of his head!  That way when he and his offspring inevitably revolt against their dwarven overlords, they might spare Misty's life.

Eat Plumpy, so his reign of terror can never begin!

Bonus points if wine is made from his flesh and served with Misty's cheese.

Even better: Destroy his concept of reality, so that his reign of terror will entail doing balet at a wall.

Edit: Or eat his concept of reality. Who knows, maybe Misty can turn abstract ideas into cheese?
Plumpy Dumpy sat on the wall.
Plumpy Dumpy had a great fall...

All the Kings dwarves had dinners a-plenty
With Plumpy-on-a-biscuit as hors-d'oeuvres.

My gods... it makes perfect sense!  Misty is a cutebold that was adopted by the Mayor, so that the rest of the fort looks at her as an "honorary dwarf", of course, she may not know that she's not supposed to look exactly like she does, because she has yet to experience anyone non-dwarf outside the mountainhome... she's been carefully coddled to keep her from the truth of her origins... Though, if misty was really some sort of kobolt, would she really be stopped by a door?

Possibly, since she doesn't know she's a kobold, but at the same time door-opening for kobolds is probably just genetic, so she could do it. Maybe she just doesn't KNOW she has that ability yet.

Hmmm... How much inertia are we putting behind Misty being a kobold?

I would have guessed she was a human child over a Kobold just based on the fact that she is 12 and already as tall as the other adult migrants. Then again, maybe dwarves reach their maximum adult height at that age? The littlest cheesemaker, eh? hmm...

I regret not putting M. Night Shyamalan commenting on the twist in the corner of that drawing. I hope you guys will forgive me.

Well... are human-dwarf hybrids possible? Maybe the Duke had a thing for tall women...

If Kobold: * have a temporary mental breakdown when she puts two and two together *

If Half-Human: * act edgy and obnoxious *

If Human: * shrug it off *

If Dwarf: * make friends with migrants *

On subject of messed up family trees, if someone comes to get her, Misty could grab a random orphan and claim that (s)he's her bastard half sibling that the duke dumped in a migrant wave years ago.
