Moonsilver does do 30 times damage to evil creatures. Including werebeasts. ;)

(Yes, I know you take complete artistic freedom and its loosely based on the mod, but sometimes I like to clear things up. :P )

Is 30x a bit excessive?

It's like what "silver" in mythology would do to creatures of the night, ie, quite a lot...

Its because the creature have something like 10x resistance against everything else. At least the new modded vampires, werebeasts and so on. They are tough.

That, and moonsilver is for all other intents and purposes, silver, thus really crappy as edged or pointy weapons, and werebeasts are usually immune to pain and big enough that fighting them with blunt weapons is tricky. Some "meh" base damage x 30 might just be enough.

Also, a knife would be easy to carry and conceal, useful in a multitude of everyday non-combat situations, and not beyond Misty's strenght or agility. If it comes to combat, just stick them with the pointy end. And she definitely doesn't want to walk around with a big obvious weapon she can't effectively use, they might mistake her for a soldier and send her to battle, without training or armor.

Get drunk.
Getting drunk in the post-shock and trauma state she is in, and being barely 12 years old, would probably result in fun.

That said, +1 to getting drunk

Given that dwarves become lethargic and weak without alcohol. I'd assume ethanol serves a vital role in some metabolic pathway. Presumably a metabolic "shunt" exists that bypasses the need for ethanol intake at a significant energy cost, since a dwarf can survive indefinitely without alcohol.

Thus, I don't really think dwarves would "get" drunk.

I want to tell you they were bad men, cephalo.  I want to tell you that with a better overseer the Fortress never would've gotten so bad someone would get offed in a pointless fisticuffs.
But the sad truth charlie?
It was inevitable.

perhaps "drunk" is what a dwarf is when it hasn't had enough alcohol.

It's more likely that she'll drink wine, as plump helmet production is often higher than cave wheat.

And plump helmet man production is higher than both.

Now, if Plumpy is a vampire, and a dwarf drinks wine made from him, what does that make the dwarf?
