Did anyone else notice that Misty is now armed with some kind of kitchen knife in her vest?
I did, and I didn't understand why she did that at all so I just did the "Don't ask, just accept" thing. I guess it's one of those bugs where dwarves claim random items and never touch them (particularly food).

Misty got lucky.

Milk, lemon, and about 20-30 minutes of boiling are actually all the basic ingredients for several fresh cheeses, such as Paneer:

http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-paneer-cheese-in-30-minutes-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-57008

The lemon is normally peeled and squeezed with only the juice being added, though.  Rennet would not do any harm and would lead to a different, firmer kind of cheese.

In short, would doing what Misty did yield Cheese?  Yes, absolutely (the massive excess of Rennet would RAPIDLY solidify the cheese, no draining of Whey necessary).

But would it be even remotely palatable, or so disgusting as to be inedible (mainly due to adding WAY too much Rennet)- of that I'm not sure...

Northstar

NO OH PLEASE FOR THE LOVE HATE GLORY SOMETHING OF ARMOK DON'T TASTE YOUR OWN FIRST ATTEMPT AT MAKING FOOD!

Feed it to the Smallerdaffodil first.

(Fine, this is just a repeat of the previous suggestion I +1'd (Technically +2'd, I guess), but it's still better than "taste it yourself, Mistem McDabblingCheesemakerofDestiny")

Sounds like a good idea!

Smallerdaffodil: Perch yourself somewhere on Misty to see the cheese.
Do a cheer because you smell the cheese.
Be hidden on Misty (like her hat or something) while she goes everywhere.

Well, it's refreshing to know there is a real-world reason behind current events.

Using Dwarf Fortress reason, it might even be edible, in the same way that well-minced gutter cruor is edible.

Which I'm not putting in suggestion colors for good reason.

I don't mean to be a heretic, but is it possible that Smallerdaffodil doesn't care for cheese? And/or is an incarnation of Bob seeking to use the cheese to steal Cowsea's power?

*GASP*

Misty, you must inspect this rat immediately for signs of suicidal thoughts, behaviors, actions, and/or a pulse.

Oh, and once you're done with that....
Feed the rat cheese anyway. We don't have time for weak-stomached vermin in this fort! We have to KEEL MOAR ELVESES. And if it turns out that this cheese is dangerous........................................................

Awwww crap this dwarf liked an elf. And elf with DAFFODIL in his name, no less! Guess we'll just feed the rat and deal with the liking of elves later.

Jesus, it's insanely big. It's well over 4k!

Edit: By which I mean that this thing is 16.1 megapixels big, and a 4k screen (3840x2160) is 8.3 megapixels.
