Hah yeah. After Cerapa's brutal mid-game sweep, I didn't really expect to place well in this game.

My turn, it seems.

17 actions

Conquer 10, 11, 25 [-9]
Conquer 154, 153 (-4)
Conquer 78 (-3)
Fecund 78 (-1)

Monk12 pop = 13

I like to imagine that the conquer+fecund thing is the invading force of Ents killing everyone, and then planting themselves into the ground cause they're tired.

I feel like a1s will win, provided he counts his points and how much he will need to take from others.

"Curse their sudden, but inevitable betrayal"? :P
Betrayal requires a period of friendship.

And there's no one else for me to wage war on.

It doesn't make a lot of sense from an RP perspective, I guess, but there isn't exactly a lot of RP in this game.

Ah it's fine: if my counting is correct I still think I beat you by one point.

I won't be able to post my turn until sometime tomorrow, so hopefully a1s will have posted his turn by then.

Unless I've seriously miscounted, your turn comes before a1s.

Yup, I'm waiting for Monk12.
edit: if we're seriously going to wait until tomorrow, would it be a terrible imposition to ask for a map update?

GAME OVER

All the long years the Pearly Swine had waited behind their mountains. There they farmed in peace when the trolls were enslaved and the Grit War waged. They sat idle when the ents crushed the Accord. They tolerated the privations against the merfolk Lakers. Then, in the Winter of the fourth year they waged war against the Council of Trees who's tyranny was spread throughout the land. With a year they were the supreme force, their pearly tendrils spreading deep into the heart of the island. The island came to be known as Pearland, and the Bountiful heresy became dogma.

In time their racial foes, the ents, were brought into the fold through their shared ideology. There was nothing that could be done for the trolls, but the djinn were kept, trapped, in a watery prison in the centre of the island, not wiped out but not ever a threat. Some say their foul emperor would rise again one day to lead his people once more, but most dismissed this as yet another dead heresy.

The Lakers were kept their reservation but over time most of them left to seek new lands and fresh opportunities. The Accord soon became only a vocal but relatively powerless faction within some of the southern cities. The Pearly Police closed in on Babe but he'd already fled on a ship with his most ardent followers, thousands of towers standing stark in the forests his mark upon the land. While Babe was at large the Republican dream would never die.

Spoiler: End of Game (click to show/hide)

Congratulations to a1s!

There's a whole bunch of things I'd tweak if I run this again, but overall I'm quite pleased by how close things were between a lot of the players.
