Kyle shrugs.
"Well, I heard that a group of other people were going to join and I thought that the decision was between student council and trying for the newspaper. So I decided on the newspaper since it probably wont have as much competition. If I don't get in then I'll definently join."

 "Yeah, we could definitely use someone like you." she says, gazing through the window. The window faces the sun which is setting just above the horizon, coating the room in an orange dim light.

Kyle looks out as well. He seems to be remembering something. It doesn't seem like a good memory as he quickly looks away from the window.

Kyle doesn't seem to be thinking about the sunset.

"The sunset reminds me of..."
Kyle gestures to his missing bits.

Kyle takes a seat near Ayumi.
"... Would you like to hear about it?"

Haruo continues eating, but more slowly.
He is also attempting to read a book while doing so.

Mao finishes off her dinner, "Good book?"

Kyle leans back in his seat.
"Well, one day when I was out watching the sunset in a field near my house. I didn't notice it at first but there was a faint burning wood smell coming from the direction of my house. My eyes widened and when I turned to look there was my house on fire with most of my family outside already."
Kyle sighs and pauses.
