I'm definitely underusing Shield Bash.

In fact, I was pleasantly surprised during that battle when I realized I could push a sturdy tower shield raider off solid ground and into murky water. Really helped take him down.

But I hadn't internalized the knowledge well enough to deduce I could've maybe saved the axebro that way.

What do the reworked sleepybois do now?

I'm assuming you mean Alps?

Strip your armor (including shields), fight naked. Bring dogs on everyone. Equip spears or swords on everyone except maybe your standard bearer. Stay together, focus on clearing shadows.

Admittedly I haven't fought them a ton, but this has worked well for me so far.

*edit*

Oh, you just mean their abilities. Now they basically just summon a bunch of adds. The adds auto-hit and ignore armor, their damage is decreased by your resolve. All of the adds die in one hit from anything.

Haven't tried it yet, but I imagine that whips are ideal vs the adds.

I've been playing the lone wolf as an errant knight of sorts. Just don't hire anyone. The hedge knight can solo quite a lot of opposition with his twohanded sword, especially after he unlocks underdog and lone wolf (skill). But you have to pick your fights, especially early on. At first it's best to follow caravans and use the poor shmoes as a distraction when fighting thugs and thralls. But you level up crazy fast, usually hitting lvl 11 some 30-40 days in, and selling combat loot is more than enough for a single guy that you don't have to pay.

Some fights are instant game over, though (like alps), and not always avoidable. Iron man is out of the question.

It's not really how the game was intended to be played, so certain sillinesses become apparent. The enemy unerringly beelining to kill caravan asses, like they're some existential threat to their way of life, and despite you chopping their mates heads off left and right (don't take escort missions). The caravans going through certain remote regions never making it through, but still being sent over and over, with poor protection. And the absolute hordes of people you single-handedly murder (what breeding pits are they coming from?).

So do any of you know if being wounded without an actual wound, just lots of hitpoint loss, causes morale malus for being in reserve? Injuries remove the morale malus, but I don't know if being wounded does. Kind of silly if it doesn't. I've sometimes had a guy survive the fight with five hitpoints, but with no injuries, for example.

I don't believe it does. There's an icon in the character screen for those kind of wounds (the red cross) so you can check on that to see if it does.

I don't know if it matters, though. The reserve malus only shows up after quite a while, so someone who was just in a fight should have time to heal HP damage before it matters.

Alps have been reworked (again) to be a much quicker battle. Here's hoping that the third time's charm :)

Oh, good. It'd be nice to see Alp contracts and not just say 'no, not worth it' every single time.

Yeah I quite like that change. Them being within two tiles also means you don't feel useless.

Arise thread! It looks like we're getting some sort of Desert/Religious Order DLC.

There's also apparently a Legends mod that adds a lot of  stuff, including playable mages?

Excellent, I was hoping they'd do a southern content DLC next.

Still haven't tried the Legends mod. I should do that at some point.

Nice! I was fairly convinced they'd stopped doing content for Battle Brothers and were turning their attention towards a sequel.

My random speculation based off of three words and an image is we're getting something along the lines of:
a new Religious Order start,
new desert monsters (scorpions),
some sort of new endgame crisis or in-world faction
Sacred relic items of some kind.
