The Sorcerous Queen [Update 1, Turn 1: Council of Something]
« on: March 16, 2014, 07:55:41 pm »

Once upon a time, in another realm, there was a mighty general-sorceress-queen. Though she could not negotiate her way out of a paper bag and had only the faintest knowledge about anything going on around her, she wielded both legions and spells with impeccable skill, bringing low all who would stand before her. Alas, she met her end at the hands of a treacherous poison, and her kingdom lost its most precious jewel.

However, this was not the end of the mighty princess. Though she was forever lost to her homeland, she persisted, and found herself in another land, one in need of a true queen to unite and guide it. You are one of the courtiers who has flocked to her banner, hoping to garner riches, glory, fame, or perhaps something more by aiding your new liege in her trials.

Name: Tin Knight Galahad
Pitch: He only seeks to save our Queen from peril and smite the monsters of the land (although Queen Axespendable is the only one that can hear Tin Knight Galahad speak)
Portrait:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Difficulty: Impossible
Victory Type: Armageddon!
World Type: Supercontinent
World Size: Extra Large
Rival Great Mages: 8
Additional Worlds: 6
Map Type: Flat.
Perks: Koatl's Training: All units receive +15 Melee and +15 Missile Resistance, Glorious Tactician: All units receive +20% unit power.
Color: Teal
Race: Human
Rumor: Death got his ass kicked by Queen Axespendable, who fought her way back to the living.  Tin Knight Galahad may or may not have helped.  Tin Knight Galahad is certainly a real, full-sized, knight in shining tin armor, but whether there is a mute, or just very humble, knight under that armor or if the good knight is just Queen Axespendable's childhood desire for a crusading knight made real...who can say?

Who else could I submit?  ;D

I like Mr. Grimfeather's back story as well.  I just hope he doesn't mistaken Tin Knight Galahad for one of the garden statues!

This is a REAL game?
... Full name and publisher, please. I'm curious as how it plays, with a Bitch Queen overlord and all. Does she get to execute courtiers she isn't fond of?

Not exactly. The game itself is just Warlock: Masters of the Arcane, with an role-playing/player interaction layer of sorts based on Long Live the Queen -- specifically, I think, the LP that's been being run on this very forum. It's a neat idea.

E: Incidentally, it just came to me, Irony, that if you wanted to make things particularly silly, you could have people do stuff like fight pokemon duels (via that free PvP thing that's been floating around, or something equivalent) -- any agreed upon PvP setting, really -- to settle grievances.
