I have begun construction on a special weapon.

I call it...
BRIDGEFLOOR.
No, it's not a trap that involves a bridge that is a floor.
I used the Fun part about drawbridges - the fact that they can support floors.
I made a 2x3 one above my entrance and have begun building the floor and will later attach a lever to it, and will wait for a siege to drop the floor on.

Does this count as a Stupid Dwarf Trick or is it too practical?

As far I know, they don't support floors, there is something else supporting them.

Wait, nevermind, the floor collapsed once construction began. To plan B, which is have it supported by a single floor tile that can be deconstructed when needed.

I recommend using a support, they can be deconstructed via levers, remotely.

Edit: Just out of curiosity, how many dwarves already died on the process?

Surprisingly none.
I guess the dress of the one who was on the building at the time acted as a parachute.

I always build similar trap ceiling thing above my dining room. And place the lever to the room of my baron/king.
