They already have a civilization. Hell, I'm tempted to remove the subterranean animal men from my own game to cut down on chasing sewer bandits.

Shit, I'm sorry. I looked at your creatures in the entity list and didn't see the break between insects and reptiles/amphibians.

Oh. Oooooooh. I thought you were talking about the generic reptile men. Just a bit of confusion, no hard feelings. :P

Also, I'll release the next version as soon as I can iron out some language-related bugs.

Update time! Not tons of new stuff, just one very big thing. Expect another civilization in the future!

Hey, how many castes should be in the new surprise civ? Pick a number between 1 and 33, keeping in mind that I have 10 done but it took me 4 hours.

Updated to 1.21! I changed the versions around a little, fixed some bugs, and also we have a succession fortress, Urorurilar.

And Hugo_The_Dwarf, your phoenix-egg-laying code is broken and I don't know enough about materials to figure it out.

What is wrong with it? Did you put it in the right place?

I put it in the right place, I know that much, but there's something wrong with the material definitions.

I might be able to help if I could see the script, then.

Yep, upon reflection that is the problem. Every item has four things, you only put three.
Code: [Select]
[LAYS_UNUSUAL_EGGS:BAR:NO_SUBTYPE:COAL:CHARCOAL]
I am not sure what the [NOSUBTYPE] does but I put it everywhere.

Wow this sounds cool! Even more things to be hopelessly massacred by! A question: Are the animal men one huge civilization with all of them or a bunch of different smaller civs?

I think I've found a small glitch, I don't know if it's your mod or just dwarf fortress being weird, but I was playing as a demon and went to another hamlet of demons next to the starting hamlet, and got randomly attacked by a demon peasant, and when I tried to fight back I ticked off the whole hamlet and got hopelessly destroyed.
