I'm betting 2014 is optimistic, especially if we factor the bug fixes and 3rd party tool updates that will inevitably be needed.

3rd party tool updates? Toady doesn't care about those one bit (and I don't blame him at all).

Also, bugfixes historically have never taken more than 3-4 months.

As before, I forsee sometime between mid April and late May. If I get very lucky, I might get half a day to play it at the end of spring break!

Think! Half a day to discover the amazingness of DF2014!

If I'm less lucky, it will be on a Friday. But the update comes the exact moment I return home and begin to use the computer.

And on the topic of bugfixes, I'll gladly play the crap out of the game with moths, beetles, flies, and, most of all...






BEES!

In fact, I don't want those bugs to be fixed. I'll never get more bees.

There's a release RSS feed. Infinitely easier. Find an RSS reader that'll send you an e-mail or something when the feed updates. Then you can spend all the time you saved refreshing the Dwarf Fortress website on playing it instead.
