My fiancee put on Assassination Nation. It's a movie that reeks of either a 60-year-old screenwriter who hasn't had a hit yet trying to write a #lit movie about #woke teens WITH AN EDGE!!!, or an angry sixteen-year-old who just had their first sociology lesson and is trying to share it by way of a Purge knockoff.

From the cover art, it looks really awful. I'm surprised it has a 5.9 on IMDB, it looks like a 3.0.

It would be hard to do something more prone to errors.

I know. Where do you even get one of the old Pentium systems anymore?

It's the first time someone's wanted to buy one of my models. But since the one they want is one of the ones I made in Maya using a Student license, I can't legally sell it.

Maybe I'll remake it in Blender.

...Maybe if I write my todo lists in all caps the items will seem more urgent and I'll actually do them.

The plans for dozens of new windmills that were supposed to be built around National Park the Veluwe can be sent to the trashbin.
The endangered honey buzzard uses the Veluwe (A Natura2000 area) as it's breeding ground, and since the number of breeding pairs has dropped below the European conservation guidelines' minimum number (94 out of the required 100 breeding pairs), it is now forbidden to build the windmills.
The contractors and authorities are not too pleased. The plans were in a very late phase already.

Sad, because those windmills are an essential part of conforming to the Paris climate agreement.
Happy, because the honey buzzard is now safe on it's breeding grounds.
Cancels out to no effect on mood.

But yeah, nature conservation getting in the way of nature conservation here.
