We're allowed to have emotions IN the thread, we're just supposed to talk about things that didn't *influence* our emotions.

For example, I could talk about how I was crying earlier, and I saw a cute kitten, but it didn't help at all, I was still just as sad. :(

I was sittin' on the toilet and using my amazing powers of pareidolia, saw several faces in the random splotches of the floor linoleum. It was then that I discovered that the linoleum had a pattern of four squares by four squares, repeating in both directions. I briefly wondered about the original artist who designed the pattern. Which square of the 16 unique ones was the first one, on the upper-left of his canvas? Did he then go on to the next one to the right, or down? Or did he start somewhere else than the upper-left one?

By then I was out of poop and ended my thoughts on the matter of the floor pattern.

I got to class early today, and found that the mesh over the fluorescent lights in the ceiling divided them into 12 squares by 6 squares. I found that one of them was short a column of squares, so that there would be the same number of squares on either side of the room, relative to the center of the chalkboard, which was not in the center of the wall. There were 48 squares in a row, and 864 in total.

It's design decisions like that, where they thought nobody would notice, that almost make me have a change in mood.

Today, I checked a book out of the library.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
but the checking out itself did not affect me at all.

I clicked on this thread.
Meh.
I read down from where I'd left off. I see a great many spoilers. But I haven't opened them. So I am still meh. It is neither good, nor bad. I suppose that could be a good thing, but it could also be a bad thing. Therefore, I shall call it neutral.

I tied my shoes today. Then, later, I took them off. Right now I'm sitting down.

I feel it necessary to post a poem this reminds me of, but I must find it first.

edit:

Today Is Very Boring
by Jack Prelutsky

Today is very boring,
it's a very boring day,
there is nothing much to look at,
there is nothing much to say,
there's a peacock on my sneakers,
there's a penguin on my head,
there's a dormouse on my doorstep,
I am going back to bed.

Today is very boring,
it is boring through and through,
there is absolutely nothing
that I think I want to do,
I see giants riding rhinos,
and an ogre with a sword,
there's a dragon blowing smoke rings,
I am positively bored.

Today is very boring,
I can hardly help but yawn,
there's a flying saucer landing
in the middle of my lawn,
a volcano erupted
less than half a mile away,
and I think I felt an earthquake,
it's a very boring day.

I have posted it. The letters aren't capitalized at the beginning of the lines, but I don't feel like changing it.

I suppose it's a mediocre poem of a very neutral quality. Honestly, I have no opinion one way or the other.

Sure. So long as it doesn't make any of us feel anything either.

I think Spock belongs in this thread. If he was here, it would most certainly not amuse me. Not at all.

He simply belongs.

When I read these posts I imagine the poster speaking in monotone. I think this may be a result of cultural conditioning, that only a person who is excited in some way will speak otherwise.
