Emotionally - yes.

Fascinating how much you know about my emotions.  Does Russia also have mind reading technology to go along with those best soldiers in the world?  Are the soldiers so great because they are telepaths?

I think Ukrainian Ranger has reason to be pessimistic. Putin has won the day, without question.

I apologise for the enormous rant but this was my attempt at getting my thoughts together. I hope it seemed somewhat coherent.

But the "Us" vs "Them" mentality exists in reality! The Ukrainian Ranger embodies that concept!

Moreover, it is frecking natural.
So is cyanide. It's still poison.

Like hell cyanide is natural. It is product of synthesis. Very simple synthesis.

And you know what likes simple syntheses? Hint.

You can find cyanide in apricots, for example.

The biggest problem with an Us vs. Them mentality is that it deludes you into believing other members of the "us" are actually acting in your best interest, and see you as allies instead of as disposable opportunities.

The enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend.

Tropane then, if you prefer. And leaders exploiting their subjects is hardly a problem unique to Russia.

So Ukraine. Using military force. Defying Russia by crushing a separatist rebellion.

Cyanide is in apple-seeds for Chrissakes.

Of course, this analogy assumes that human-made things are some how not-of-Nature. Perhaps they are made out of exotic matter?

Ironic that most human-made stuff is trying to get as simple and pure a chemical as possible to do a task, while nature just goes willy-nilly and makes fuck-huge chemicals in a sludge as long as it works :P

Yeah man, those damn kemicools. We need to stockpile on natural foods. I know a place that sells organic table salt, need some?

Cyanide is in apple-seeds for Chrissakes.
Cyanide is one of the most common toxins plants use for self-defense. I think hundreds if not thousands of plants contain it. Luckily our body is quite good at handling low doses of it.

Wave of pessimism have passed. Guys, when you see more defeatism like that from me... please  slap me in the face through your monitor :)
