They help send the ghosts of the dead to the afterlife by calming them and letting them rest at last. Some Gravediggers keep spirit companions, those who cannot be put to rest for some reason, to keep the loneliness of their task at bay.
Description: He is dressed in brown rags from his former life, an austere black lantern that keeps his souls- his Spirit Companion and those in need of guidance- in one hand and his shovel - this holding the ghouls- by his side. His eyes glow a pale, sickly yellow. His voice resonates with the spirits he has surrounding him.

Stats: Distribute 75 points. Add modifiers reasonably according to your race.

Power: Channelling the wrathful and vengeful remnants of the spirits of the dead as ghouls to attack his enemies. Several different forms of ghouls. Limited to two ghouls and the Companion.
All ghouls fade after three turns. The Companion remains until they are hit down to no HP.
He also keeps a Spirit Companion who herself can fight.

Description: She is invisible most of the time, speaking only to Carrick. When she manifests, she appears as a black-haired catgirl, with velvety purple ears and gold eyes, clothed in what seems to be ninja garb.

She is bound to Carrick and so cannot die- when Carrick dies, she does too.
Stats: Distribute 75 points. Add modifiers reasonably according to your race.

Power: Passive immortality: this lasts until Carrick is killed. If her HP is zero, she dematerialises and hides within Carrick's spirit lantern. This lasts until the end of the battle.

Power: Life Drain: The Ravenous Ghoul stores up a fourth of the damage it does as health. When in need, the Ghoul can either use the stored health to heal itself or an ally, expending all health stored.

Gender: Female
Age: A long time, depending on your thinking. Appears youthful, if nothing else because she shows no signs of age.

Race: Souleater Shardkind - a humanoid 'race', they resemble mankind, but vary in seemingly random ways, always related to where they formed. Every single one has a large hole where their heart would be that has a shard of something floating in it. That shard is their true self. Every souleater is, in truth, a part of a broken being far greater - the shards of it's being spread far when the core of the being was shattered, and each piece has grown or taken a body of it's own. Upon meeting another souleater, they fight to the death, and the winner takes the shard of the loser and adds it to their own. The closer it gets to forming a sphere, the closer it is to completing itself, and the more powerful it gets. Should it ever complete itself, a tremendous danger would be unleashed upon the world. No Souleater has ever been seen to cooperate with another Souleater.

If a souleater dies to something that is not a souleater, the shard will go dormant until it can reform or take a body from someone who touches it. Dormant souleaters can be sensed more easily than active souleaters by each other, so they are very vulnerable during this. A Souleater core with multiple shards will shatter again if killed, and this has prevented any Souleater from gaining too much power. Upon dormancy, all memories are lost, effectively starting from scratch.

Souleaters gain their name - and the danger of their reforming - by the face they can tear out and consume the souls of others. Why they do this, even the Souleaters don't know - the souls consumed are 'stewed' until nothing remains but soul energy, then are regurgitated as semi-real masses. The raw soulmatter is used as an ingredient in Bizarre Slime, suggesting Souleaters have been around for a long, long time.

Description: A tall humanoid with pale turquoise-and-green mottled skin. Her body is hairless and flawless. Her hands and feet have large claws of a hard black substance. Her eyes are narrow, solid orbs of blue pure as the endless sky. Instead of hair, long spines cascade from her head down, striped in vivid blues and greens. The colours change on the spines in response to her moods.

K-3T was developed in a lab as part of a means to either utilise her ability to produce raw soulmatter or possibly put her shard out of 'circulation' among Souleaters. Her claws developed to be capable of cracking the glass of her tank, and she made her escape.

Power: Sound. By rattling her spines on her back and head, she can summon 'wires' of magic between two surfaces she can lengthen and shorten at will. She can summon as many of these wires as she wishes, but they get weaker the more of them there are. A short, single wire is (almost) unbreakable. She does not have to be in contact with the surface to summon them. They appear as as faintly glowing wires of a bone-like material, the colours and pattern matching her spines.

Could I get some more info on magic?

How does runic magic work? Does the person have to draw the rune on themselves and stuff?

What's the sort of limitation? Teleportation? Being able to teleport anything is OP, of course, but what about teleporting herself? Non-living objects?

Runic magic is basically using magic with the body as a focus. The magic can only affect the user and it take HP to use.
