Whiteness. Whiteness fills their eyes as they open, taking in the blinding glimmering whiteness as it gradually faded away. Whether this was the first time they opened their eyes they did not know, but they were surrounded by what felt to be a liquid, cold and slimy as their bodies were suspended and hooked up to various assortments of pipes and cables. As the whiteness faded they looked out; they were in a test tube inside a small room with white metal flooring. Fluorescent lamps dotted the ceiling as they shrouded the dull plaster walls of the room in brightness, casting a glimmer upon the large tube's glass which imprisoned the five. Various tubes of a peculiar yellow slime were mounted against the wall as well.
A metal desk with a slim white laptop rested in the corner, to the left of the line of five glass tubes which they were in. In front of them was a metal sliding door with square geometries, and a holographic terminal which was mounted on the dull wall beside the door, which seemed to be a clear holographic display framed by hidden electronics and white metal. The only noise that permeated the room was the dull beeping of a monitor as it showed each monster person's life signs, which seems to have spiked now that they have awoken.
They are alone.
In the glass tube the farthest from the metal desk, was a humanoid figure made of blue slime hovering suspended in the strange liquid. The second furthest tube hovered a lizard man within as his green eyes slowly opened and retracted, but gradually opening as the brightness faded. The third tube held what appeared to be a normal human man, but with much hair speckled with black and grey through its strands. He had intricate tattoos over various parts of his body, and his muscles appeared strong and hardened. The second tube had a Domovoi within, its eyes glowing a pale yellow as a black coat laid over it. The final tube, the one closest to the table, was larger and held a spider woman inside its trapping glass shell. Her blue eyes slowly opened, taking the brightness with relative ease as she gently looked around.
A long silence followed as the five gently looked around, not having any memory of what their life was like beforehand--if they had a life before. Their eyes slowly turned to a mechanical noise as the door at the end of the room opened, a two-horned man with dark purple hair all over him walking in with a white lab coat laid over him. His eyes were blood red and his ears were animal-like, protruding out his head. He had a large golden ring piercing within his large nose. A Minotaur.
"Ah, you five are finally awoken," he said as he took heavy, thudding steps towards the five as his hooves clopped against the metal flooring. "Life signs fine, thank god... Looks like the synthesis progress has succeeded." he continued, eyeing each of them with red eyes.
Suddenly, alarms blared out behind the doors. The Minotaur scientist quickly turned its head back and ran over to the door, but was quickly stopped when a blast of ice wedged through the two hunks of metal which slid away to open.
"W-What!" he says when the ice pries the door apart, filling the room with a cold mist as a girl walked through; she had pale cyan hair going down to her shoulder and her breath was icy, her eyes an azure color as she glanced nonchalantly towards the Minotaur. The girl shot a palm up, firing a slash of ice towards the glass tubes. The Minotaur quickly ducked in fear as the glass broke apart the glass that imprisoned them, leaving the five standing there as pipes and cables dropped out of them, smelling and feeling the room. The room smelled of oil and machinery, and oddly, a strange slime-like smell. The air was cold from the presence of the blue-haired girl, and became even colder as she walked closer.
"No time to explain--lets go!" she shouted, her voice young and feminine.
