Real Life does have a way of getting in the way, doesn't it?

I haven't gotten any pressure to finish. I do have the game played on into the middle of Felsite, and I don't think it would take me more than two or three days over the weekend to finish the turn, but Gnorm has disappeared and no one else posted here for, like, two weeks.

This game has had its ups and downs in regards to activity, and still it is quite enjoyable. Try to finish the game whenever possible, as everyone here is rooting for success.

Gnorm is needed only to put some order into this and, most importantly, to condense all information into the front page.

IIRC, Senshuken was next, and then Deus Asmoth. I myself am refraining from dorfing until I have cleared some latent stuff with academia and such...

I have to write something... well here goes:
"A dwarf isn't a dwarf unless he dies the most !!FUN!! of ways", Quote unknown, possibly Armok.

Doktoro Reichard is quite pleased with making a Great Carbonite Trap

Why shouldn't you write with a broken pencil? Because it's pointless!

I might as well finish anyway. FPS is the main reason I don't like playing it as much - 20-40 is playable but annoying, and anything under 20 is utterly depressing. The fort fluctuates randomly between 60 and 20ish.
I get 30 fps which works fine for me and i use laptop.

I'll try to properly update this thread at the end of tomorrow. Sorry everyone, but work has kept me away from this thread lately.

And we were this close to yet another victim of Gnorm, the Overseer Killer.

I would like a turn as well. And, if it is possible, please dorf me as "Ringo" or "Kells". Gender preference: male. Occupational preference: Largely irrelevant, but I'd prefer something that was "middle class": crafting, jewelry, clothier the like. No job that produces direct goods, like miner, woodcutter, tanner, weaver, etc. My dwarf is artsy, ambitious, and creative, but has this aversion to strenuous labor. Of course, he doesn't much mind bludgeoning things, so if you dorf him as a militia dwarf, this is also ok. Basically so long as he isn't a grunt and he is a he, I'm fine.
Oh yeah, if *is* possible find one with good Musicality and Creativity but poor Social Skills and/or memory. ( That way he's just like me. )

First of all - how can I be compassionate if I have a very bad sense of empathy? :O

Sheldon empathy? I mean, I picture it's something like this:

You have Urist McDwarfette bleeding all over the place.

Zlob approaches. "Hey are you ok?"

Urist McDwarfette: * sarcastically * "Fine, just fine."

Zlob: "Yeah, ok. See you later then." * wanders off *

~Later~

Urist McCraftsdwarf: "Oh no! I lost my <insert tool name>"

Zlob: "That's so horrible! I too have lost something before." * flashback to childhood event of misplacing a toy boat and causing a fortress destroying tantrum spiral * "Let me help you find your whatever it was."

I'd also like me a turn. And a dorfing if at all possible - female engraver (doesn't need to have any actual skill) with low social skills if possible. Name "Red"

You seem to be under the illusion that we give a shit about what happens to dwarves who are too dumb to live.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
And to know that I had a hand in making that scene (official badass was something I nicknames one of the dwarves, IIRC)...

If this is still alive I would like to request a dwarf, name Solomon, gender male, occupation [USELESS].

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

There isn't much middle ground between killed-by-dragon and never-seen-by-dragon.
