Just installed Masterwork and learning to use dfhack.

I'am in the "How to" section and i'am deeply confused. How can I edit dwarf stats and whatnot?
I'd like to edit one dwarf in specific.

1. highlight your dwarf
2. type "gui/gm-editor"
3. flail wildly as you look for what stats you want to edit (hint: skills and mental attributes are in status->current_soul, physical attributes are in body)

Okay I tried that and it's good that df hack understands the command as it told me the command was not invalid. But I highlight dwarf with V or K Correct? I type command and nothing happens, I type once more and I get red letters that say "No valid target found"

Try "gui/gm-editor dfhack.gui.getSelectedUnit(true)". Make sure you don't use the quotes in the command line.

As you can see nothing that you mentioned pops up. just blank.
This when I type again I get the red text.

Are you making absolute sure that you have a unit selected? If it's in adventure mode, you have to go into their status screen (by pressing the letter or, for your adventurer, press "z").

Playing fortress mode. I tried selecting a dwarf with K or V and I got nothing.

Oh wow i'm hopeless.... I didn't know that the editor popped up on the main game screen! I thought it was sopost to be in hack... WOW. Sorry for wasting your time lol.
