Name: "Captain" Morgan Goldslager

Physical age: 55

Race: human

Description: Tall, average weight, sightly muscular. Long black hair accompanied with a beard. An experienced pirate who has seen much under many suns, Morgan is a particularly notorious figure...but not for his experience. Slightly delusional, Morgan has engrossed and idolizes the human swashbucklers of the seven seas. As such, Morgan took up many aspects of the golden age pirates after changing from a "mundane" appearance many years back. He talks like a pirate, meaning constant "ARRRRSS" spoken in the intonation of a rowdy, drunk, Englishman and drinks like a pirate, meaning that constant alcohol intake is needed to keep him relatively happy. Is able to brew his own stash of liquor. Constantly wears an eye patch over his left eye, if only to cover up an unpiratey bio-augmentation that he received in his younger years. Constantly talks with his "pet"  stuffed parrot, which he calls Paul. Paul may or may not be something more....but Morgan isn't keen on letting anyone know. Behind all of his silliness lies an extremely cunning leader who always seems to know more than he lets on. A man who is dedicated to his crew and ruthless to his enemies, Morgan is a natural people's person.. Morgan is also an accomplished weapons and armor fabricator: His mega-outdated attire and accessories had to come from somewhere. Isn't above using modern technology to fulfill his ends, but always seems to insist on some sort of "pirate themed" modifications.  But then again, all everyone else sees is the nutcase with the parrot on his shoulder.

Name: Orion Enterprises R&D Project 48HT6T, "The Many"

Physical age: One month, give or take a day or two for individual automata.

Race: Nanoautomaton Swarm

Description: A swarm of 10¹⁶ tiny (100 automata equal one human cell in volume) automata who escaped from an Orion Enterprises R&D lab a week ago. They are very convinced of the inferiority of organic beings; despite being fugitives, they are certain OE will never get on their tail proper. (Possible plot hook?) They are hiveminded, and while they can separate from each other, they prefer a humanoid form. Being pushed around and given orders by OE has led them to have trouble with trust and following of requests.

Equipped Weapons/Gear:
Nano-manipulators (in-built): Small pincers to hold on to things.
...As a weapon: Target is engulfed and deconstructed piece by piece. Quaranteed hit on immobile targets (within reach), roll to shake off on mobile targets. Causes destruction and/or death in an amount of turns based on the target's size and complexity.
...As a piece of gear: Construction, deconstruction and movement of objects both small and large. Bonus to such actions.

Electro-Pulsers (in-built): Electric pulse sent through Nano-manipulators.
...As a weapon: Electrocutes partially or completely engulfed target, dealing internal damage.
...As a piece of gear: Direct stimulation of circuits allows control over electronics. Bonus to hacking, roll for direct control. (Whether or not The Many understood the workings of the circuit from cursory examination)

Photovoltaic nanopanels (in-built): Restores power when illuminated.

Disguise (worn): A trenchcoat, a rimmed hat, a pair of sunglasses, a bandana, a pair of knee high boots , and a pair of gloves to hide identity. It is not a very low-profile disguise, though, and will raise suspicion in non-idiots.

Inventory:
Nil, not including equipment.

Skills:
Analysis: Very close inspection of things to learn about them is simple in nano-scale.
Electronics: The Many are in touch with electronics both figuratively and literally.
Hacking: Computerized thinking and direct commands allow hacking of electronics only limited by processor power.
Logistics: Handling so many small things collectively requires practice of logistics ability, making management of things a lot easier.
Multitasking: Collective consciousness allows an absurdly high amount of things to be done at once, though division of attention also means division of processing cycles, decreasing efficiency.
Stealth: Being able to stay under the radar is essential for fugitives.

Abilities:
Formation: Can mimic the form of anything through arrangement of automata, limited by size.
Separation: Can separate into a large cloud, capable of passing through small cracks and engulfing objects. It is practically impossible to damage The Many without a suitable weapon, such as a flamethrower. Performing this prevents The Many from holding an inventory, and all equipment not in-built is dropped.
Synthetic: Instead of health, hunger etc., integrity and power should be tracked. Resistance or immunity to some things, such as toxins, vulnerability to others, such as electromagnetic pulses.
