I learned about metallurgy.
that their is no such thing as a neutral or wild being, They are ALL hostile.
Goblins are not really that bad of a people and are quite reasonable to captured prisoners and slaves.
Dwarves should not be trusted with precision task like building a wall or pulling a lever.
Elves should be kept at a distance, its fine to trade, but no dinner invite, ever.
And just how much of a sadist and uncaring Overload (cough) Overseer i really am.

That having a party outweighs the need to eat, drink, sleep, or stop your wife getting her head sliced open by monsters.

Being ecstatic is being fine, and being fine is being miserable.

I learned that with enough skill and high quality mincing you can create legendary meals with just one type of plant/meat etc candles weed.

I learned that no matter how big or small whether cat or dragon or giant sperm whale everything gives the same amount of leather that is the same strength thickness and protectivenessness

I also learned THRIPS

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I have learned that if you jump in a fire and let your fat burn off but not your muscles or allow yourself to bleed to death, you will look awesome and will also be undefeatable.

You'll also probably be crippled and need a crutch or something for the rest of your life, but that's a small price to pay for being one of those crazy skinless fantasy monsters.
