I have learned that if you jump in a fire and let your fat burn off but not your muscles or allow yourself to bleed to death, you will look awesome and will also be undefeatable.

You'll also probably be crippled and need a crutch or something for the rest of your life, but that's a small price to pay for being one of those crazy skinless fantasy monsters.
Don't forget the Dwarven DayCare.

I learned that if you give a one-armed woman a crossbow, she can use it just as effectively as someone with two arms. While holding her child. Also that it probably isn't a good idea to have soldiers, with ranged weapons or otherwise, carry their children into battle.

And another thing! I learned about how freaking dangerous ticks are. Particularly ticks the size of grizzly bears.

it unfortunately taught me what a crundle was, and the horror that ensues every time i read a battle report about one. "the flying silver bolt strikes the crundle's eye tearing the muscle"
