My deities hated my adventurer to the point that they have decided: "Okay, that does it, I'll destroy you and the world you belong in!"

And so the next moment the client crashed... Their evil plan worked.
But the gods were crazy only in the first version of 40 thankfully.

It seems that in the DF universe, gods are real, and they are all jerkasses.  All they do is curse people for profaning their temples, contemplate various diverse ideas and always wind up coming to the conclusion that the world would be a lot better if there were more demons running around, and when they are feeling particularly generous, send down slabs that allow mad sorcerers to raise zombie armies.

Given that the supreme deity is the one who destroys and recreates the world whenever it gets too peaceful, I suppose it was inevitable.

given that Demons and Gods talk the same one could assume they just possess the daemons not Daemons fooling humans and what not.
