Or at least close to it.
So far the best I've gotten was a mod that let me play as a Bronze Colossus and storm a tower but eventually I'd die.
So is there a way to do this (I don't have any mods on my game) or do I have to mod in a race to play as and make them invincible (if so, how can I do that, at least?)

Oh and I'd rather them not be abnormally strong, like punching elephants for several squares and if possible, I'd them them to have teeth and grasping limbs.

Use your current method, and go into the RAWs, creature_standard, crtl-f bronze colossus and change INORGANIC_BRONZE to INORGANIC_ADAMANTINE, and you should be more or less invincible. I assume you found a way to make bronze colossuses necromancers already, I think they need the CAN_LEARN tag or something similar

If your animals aren't expendable, you could always station a dwarf or two out there?

It's INORGANIC:, not INORGANIC_.
