Just so I know, are there scripts or plugins that are going to be completely obsolete with no chance of working for the current version?

It'll work for some events, just not for invasions.

Guessing forcing a fey mood will still be available since that's confined to your fort.
But since armies marching is handled by the during-playtime history happening around you now... forcing invaders might be hard to do if not impossible.

I really only use the fastdwarf (slow PC), liquids, gatherplants, reveal/unreveal, and vdig commands, really.

Screenshots on Imgur

I find this very arousing.

Holy crap is that cool!
Hehe.. yeah, would be nice if it was a checkbox to tick in the DFHack tab of the DF Starter Pack.
SORTING! OMG! Something adventure mode had needed for ages.

Also, new DF version is expected today. "and this version'll probably see the sun outside its cave tomorrow." That was yesterday. Hoping DFHack will be close behind, yes? :D

It's not far now. As much as I'd like to believe that Quietust et al. are holding off the shiny and complete new DFHack suite until then, it'll probably trail behind for a bit longer.

Yeah, it looks like there is still a lot to do. Maybe it'll be ready in a week or so.

Can we follow development and the reverse engineering for 0.40 anywhere? As a developer, I am curious how the process works.

Listening in on #dfhack and keeping an eye on the different Github branches of DFHack depositories are a good place to start, I think.

Just noting that the progress bar is now drawing from .40.05's lst file.

That yellow area got really big really fast.  It's amazing how fast all of this stuff gets updated every time DF ticks to another version.

The yellow area was marked by automated code running a quick check on structures in memory; it's yellow precisely because no human looked at that stuff.

Can someone clarify where development is on the v40 dfhack. A while ago the bars were at seventy percent, now they seem to be at eight. Also, someone mentioned dfhack might come out soon after 40.05, but I'm unsure if this was a plan or a guess. Thanks for any and all clarification!
