There is one Tomb World that is effectively being run by Skynet, so there's that

Tau, not as they are now, no. They haven't even seen Orks or Necrons yet, have they?
...The way they met the Kroot was by helping them fight off and take back the Kroot homeworlds from the Orks.

Kronus is an instance of them fighting the NEcrons, besides the other instances they have in fact fought the Necrons. Sautekh dynasty.

Also, Golden Throne is failing pretty fast, so Imperium can't survive long enough to evolve, even if we could be certain that was actually a thing. Plus Chaos is still a thing, and will be a thing in the transition period too, and the more psykers, the more mutations and burnouts and Daemons.

Tau find complete STC, troll Mechanicus
The moment the Tau find a complete STC is the moment the Imperium, Adeptus Mechanicus, Dark Mechanicus and Dark Eldar mobilize everything to the Tau Empire, which has so far survived because only one galactic power is nomming them (literally in this case). Then the Orks will follow in their wake

Besides we all know what would happen in order to keep the plot from advancing
>tau find complete STC
>it's infected with Chaos and DAOT technoviruses

Keep in mind Mars still has all the STCs, the problem is finding ones that are complete that don't try to take control of your brain and nonconsensually improve your weak flesh or destroy all of your information networks with absolute spam

Kroot Borgsphere is the best though

They already biologically incorporate their defeated enemies into their species, if they did the same with technology HNGGGGG BEST FACTION

They already have Krootspheres

All they have to do is fight GRey knights, barely win, take massive casualties in the process, then eat the Jokaero.

It's too deep into the Imperium

Such an expedition would require a three season TV show to even reach it

Sigh...
I have a horribly slap-dashed picture I've been trying to draw for months which is basically "The Anatomy Lesson" parodied, with Kroot of all kinds (swannish ethereal, doveish Eldar, hawkish humans, peacockish Eldar) all standing around a budgie-ish Jokearo-Kroot who is excising the gene-seed from a space marine.

It's part of a... *shudder* fanfic alt-history comic I've been flailing and failing at, basically revolving around a wide scale revolt of the shapers.
Spoilers: It ends when the imperium discovers an Ogryn-Marine kroot, and form a temporary alliance to wipe out the Kroot. The Tau, never to give up on an erstwhile ally, betray it and accept a Kroot surrender. All of the shapers are executed and new ones installed, along with a reaffirmation of loyalty (Literally force-fed dog meat), and thus we welcome the Kroot hounds and Krootox.

... Eh. Even if I did finish it, the only reaction I'd get to it would be overwhelmingly negative anyway.
Non-canon and Xeno-centric? I'm just asking to get bitchslapped

TV ideas for 40k so far:
  • Imperial Guardsman operating a basilisk, basking in all the things not happening where they are (offscreen).
  • Epic quest of a Fire Warrior, Air Caste, Kroot, Gue'vesa and Squat to find the last banana tree.

The problem with that is that the eldar psykers are more resistant due to training, not any innate quality. Humanity isn't going to have that kind of advantage at the start of being fully psychic, and it'll be the death of them.

I'd argue with this. The Eldar are all born psychically sensitive. Their intense training just elevates their powers even further.

Yes, but he's not talking about potency. He's talking about vulnerability.

It also helps that the Eldar only really have three gods, one of which is in pieces, another of which is nice and in captivity anyway. Slaanesh is the only one with real power over them, and part of the reason she's the weakest of the four Chaos Gods is that the rest are all gods of humanity first and foremost. And their lifestyle and training entirely centers around discipline, to avoid doing anything that might attract Slaanesh specifically.

One would think being innate psychic gives a race an inherent ability to resist psychic powers vs. one that doesn't.
