It's not that an unusual interpretation, the Emperor is almost entirely relegated to warp presence and is constantly fed by the devotion of a quadrillion humans.
Don't forget the thousands of psykers sacrificed to him every day.

And if you look at the state of the Imperium, you might as well call him the Chaos God of Order :P

It should be noted that the current fluff says the psykers aren't sacrificed to him so much as that's the daily burnout rate for the Astronomicon Choir, which is much larger than a thousand members.

You might consider the Emprah a Chaos God considering it's believed they granted him some of their power, in exchange for him being their champion. He reneged on the deal.

Well it's known that they gave him unexplained power to create the primarchs and he reneged on the deal to give the primarchs over to them

how come he doesn't show any signs and how would one go about that?
Being the most powerful psyker in existence might help

I see more resemblance to the Tyranid hive mind than the warp, what with him having a physical presence and his strength waxing or waning depending on the strength of the collective human consciousness (and by extension, human biomass)

Cue Hive Mind in full arriving in the galaxy, seeing the Emperor, and liftin' a brother up to full fellow Hive Mind status, and we learn the Tyranid Hive Mind is actually just the foremost of a whole group of Hive Minds, of various species, that have banded together in an effort to uplift the cosmos to Hive-sapience and overcome the forces of Chaos/entropy.

Tyranids are just the dicks, so they're sent in first. Also to make sure the new member is up to snuff.

No, the Tyranids are just the Old Ones. The real question is, what are they running from?

Maybe I'm confusing that with what I thought was an earlier event.

It's not known that Emp-Rar made deals with Chaos, all the sources which claim that are....Chaos. They kind of have a bias on the subject, even down to Horus killing Primarch Eleven while sent back in time during his corruption.

Also what happens when you kill the Nid queen? The whole hive goes into absolute disarray and chaos. What happens if you kill the Emperor? Well, excluding any shenanigens where he reincarnates or becomes a literal chaos god in the warp, humanity goes into absolute disarray and chaos. And the other Chaos too.

So Emperor x Queen OTP?

tbh if somebody blew up the golden throne a lot of the high-ups would just try to hide the fact that Terra is being overran by daemons and go on as if nothing had happened.

and then wh40k was the foundation.

The loss of the astronomicon would signal the end of the Imperium and a new age of strife

It would also kill the main breeding stock of Navigators, so even if the Astronomicon didn't go out the Imperium would still be fucked.

May be the astronomicon turn off will be just a single moment, and the brighter light will appear.
The original emprah  was just 100 psykers combined without really much faith in him, and that was enough for great crusade.
Reformed emperor may have power of those billiards of unlucky psykers fed to him combined with  faith of million worlds.
He surely had enough time to think about faults in his first plan, may be after all those years on throne he even understood, that empathy actually matters.
