1st Hematite, 129.
I sold two large gems to the elves in return for all their edible goods.

7th Hematite, 129.
Kiboy killed the last goblin, and broke the seige.

17th Hematite, 129.
The elves left, and a kid has become an adult.
A new mayor has been appointed!

23rd Hematite, 129.
A dwarf threw a tantrum today, but it should be survivable.

28th Hematite, 129.
Kogsak fell off the finished roof and broke his skull, but he lived. He should be fine.

2nd Malachite, 129.
The bone doctor went insane today. It was inevitable. He gave a great sigh, and walked out, crying. The worst part is that I can see gems shining in the mountain, but our queen says we can't dig them up.
And the new mayor came up to me, said we can't export any more flasks.

5th Malachite, 129.
More Migrants!

(I'll play more later)

Ouch. 2 ex-overseers already dead. That kinda sucks, actually. I didn't expect Skullsploder of all people dying like a dog against a mere goblin. :/

If you imagine an 8-bit Hinata with elf ears, it gets even more ridiculous ^_^

I know, but he charged two squads by himself. He didn't even get a kill...
And, all the dogs were already dead. The goblins were not kind to them.

And snackfox, I might give you the guy who fell off the tower.

Well, since Iamblichos the dwarf died stupidly... I guess it's okay.

So... I guess KiBoy the dwarf is militia commander now?

I think Kiboy is, yes.

And sorry, but I don't think there will be an update till Monday. RL problems. Sorry.

Damn.  I go away for a day and come back dead.  Sounds like DF to me.

Why the hell was such a talented craftsdwarf in the military?  My hands were valuable!  Apparently my back was much less valuable.  Especially once it had a giant hole in it.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

There isn't much middle ground between killed-by-dragon and never-seen-by-dragon.

Well, if not for your 'valiant' sacrafice, the goblins could've made inside and kill everyone. So you died kind-of like a hero.

You do know that there are other ways to keep goblins out than throwing our under-prepped military at them, right? Like pulling the levers that close the gates... Also, I get the feeling Skullsploder the dwarf has been listening to lessons and watching demonstrations instead of sparring. Best way to have a good military is just to make sure all active militia members are in 2-man squads, that way they spar all the time and can be legendary in most combat skills inside of 2 years.

Yes, but I thought the military was prepared enough to handle five mace-goblins... Sorry.

And Skull-sploder ran outside ignoring a burrow and the order to station inside.

Okay, I'm back.

8th Malachite, 129.
Kiboy has gotten five kills, and was titled "The Phrases of Cooperating". Who knows why.
The swords-dwarf who fell off the roof has started calling himself Neque. i hope his wife (The other swords-dwarf) doesn't mind.
Speaking of injuries, we have a few dwarves walking around with broken bones. Now that it's summer, I'm designating a hospital.
57 of our 158 dwarves are useless children.

10th Malachite, 129.
I got the military back to 20 members.

18th Galena, 129.
The Human caravan has arrived. Considering what happened last caravan, I order everyone back inside. And because of a tree that didn't get chopped down in time, their wagons don't come.

25th Galena, 129.
I bought everything made of metal or edible for five food pots.

28th Galena, 129.
Three Kobold thieves, and we caught one when it got shot in the leg. Passed out and fell into a cage.

And it has become Autumn.

8th Limestone, 129.
The crazy bone doctor died of thirst today.

15th Sandstone, 129.
The water froze, including the water that was supposed to make a well... looks like there won't be one of those here. Don't get injured in the winter is my only advice.
I've been working on some more armour, being the only armour smith in the fortress...

26th Sandstone, 129.
A child has been taken by a fey mood, and some migrants arrived.

6th Timber, 129.
Guess who wants rough gems? Well, whatever. We have too many anyways.

19th Timber, 129.
The dwarven merchants have arrived! And a tree grew as they were walking, we need to fix that! I'm paving over the whole road!

27th Timber, 129.
Same routine, buy everything we can eat or melt.

And it's winter. My shift's almost over, and I can concentrate on forging.

1st Moonstone, 129.
Moonstone is my favourite month!

15th Moonstone, 129.
The kid gave up on his mood today. He suddenly started crying and walked away.

9th Opal, 129.
We caught a male and a female giant sparrow. We need to tame them!
And I realize we have 3500 clay...

16th Opal, 129.
Our mayor asked for 12 water skins, even though everyone already has one. Well, it's easy enough I guess...
I've been told we are a barony now. I guess I can be the leader if I have to be, a smith must protect. I can't think of anyone else...

11th Obsidian, 129.
The kid died of thirst today. Finally he's gone, not crying in the meeting hall.

It's finally spring!
Make more armour.

And here's the save.

Great. It's Lurker Z's turn now. Well, since we are barony now, we are getting closer to our goal. :D
