"you are too quick to insult the name of Meyer, 'commander'. And as for that of Lukevic, any one of those filthy peasents deserves it more than you."
I guess we fight, then.

Turn 4

The semi-orderly retreat of the beastmen quickly became a full on rout with the legion in hot pursuit.

Pushing through the last of the beastmen, the legion made its way into a large and luxurious plaza surrounded by enormous manses. While it would have been awe-inspiring on a normal day, the golden district (commonly referred to as the noble's quarter) looked like a scene straight out of a nightmare. The fountain which stood in the middle of the plaza had begun to recycle the water which was in its basin and, due to the corpses floating in it, had reddish hue to it and the plaza itself was littered with corpses. The few beastmen which remained were running away, presumably towards the other gate along with the rest of their army. It seemed that the 9th legion had routed the beastman attack.
Opposite to the legionnaires, across the plaza, stood the enormous mansion of the regional governor; Lord Governor Anthus Milinus. The mansion's yard was walled off and the only way in was through a large iron gate which had several liveried guardsmen standing around it. It looked as though they had fought off an assault on their position. While most bodies at their feet were the twisted abominations known as beastmen, there was a substantial amount of their own. Defending their position had come at a high price.

THE LEGIONNAIRES BEGIN TO TURN TO OX FOR GUIDANCE. SHOULD THE LEGION PURSUE THE FLEEING BEASTMEN, OR SHOULD THE LEGIONNAIRES MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE REGIONAL GOVERNOR'S MANSION?
You can discuss it IC, but ultimately (unless someone makes a very compelling argument) the legionnaires seem to favour Ox.

No I'm not psychic. I just know that this is dwarf fortress. and the most stupidly awesome and inexplicable thing is probably going to be the first thing to happen.

"You saw what happened in the Plaza - the commander broke. We looked to him for orders and he snapped. I saw him skulking away towards the harbour and pursued. We shared a few words and he went for me, forcing me to defend myself, which I did to his cost."
Explain the situation. Avoid a fight if at all possible.

"So you killed him? Likely story. Lay down your weapons and come with me."
If he complies, escort him back to headquarters for trial. If he doesn't, I'll make him.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

"Yes. After all, if I charged towards you waving this" *gestures with sword* "you would have no qualms about killing me. In any case, I will come with you, although I reserve the right to keep my sword."
Sheath my weapon and come quietly.

((Tophat, you really shouldn't wave your sword at someone who told you to drop your weapons... They might react badly. *cough* I'm might have to stab you *cough*))
Knock his weapon out of his hand when he waves it at me.

Pull sword back out of the way before sheathing it.
"Thank you for proving my point. Imagine how you would have reacted if I'd actually charged at you."
