So an American Dad joke* popped in my head while I was watching Worf on DS9 and I pictured him stopping Riker and telling him that he was going to come with him to rescue his nominally-asexual-but-secretly-into-dudes alien love interest before she gets "corrected" by her people.

Riker: You would risk a court-martial over this for me? You're a true bro, bro.
Worf: NATURALLY, AS YOU WOULD DO THE SAME FOR ME.
Riker: I mean... uh...
Worf: YOU WOULD, RIGHT?
Riker: Not really, no.
Worf: WELL... YOU'VE HURT ME TERRIBLY... I'M GOING BACK TO MY QUARTERS.
Riker: Hey, look, I'm sorry.
Worf: DON'T BOTHER, IT IS A GOOD DAY... TO CRY.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

Some Hish School Musical Lip Reading Note: I have not seen the actual High School Musical, but I'm pretty sure this is better

NFL 2019 “Hope you like rats better than mice. Everybody gets a rat” “Hey I heard they’re gonna change the ball into a square ball” “I sense a purple object over there” “The starfish in the vents are rotting. If you’re havin’ a birthday, we’re truly sorry”

So I've gotten back into online/app dating, this time via Bumble because I really don't want to hurl myself into spambot shotgun mode again, and if I do eventually get a hit it'll be a nice confidence booster to have the gal actually make the first move for once.

However, this also means that I've gotten back into browsing through scores of absolutely horrible profiles of decidedly questionable individuals. One thing is the prevalence of girls who describe themselves as someone who "loves to laugh", as though this is in any way a kind of defining factor. No shit, twinklefuck. Laughing is by and large a pleasurable activity for MOST people.

But then I ran across an absolute gem today, where a gal was listing the things she was looking for in a man... Saying that we'd get along if I were "Ambitious, driven, open, funny, humble, honest, and passionate about animals and the ocean".

...except she didn't. She managed an absolutely stellar typo somehow, so she is in fact looking for a man who is first and foremost "Ambiguous".

There's probably a lot more ambiguous young men out there than ambitious ones these days, so it's a fair call.

Bumble never excited me tbh. okcupid actually worked best of the ones i tried.  Never paid for services tho, so maybe when you put some skin in the game you get exponentially better results.
