Measure the width about 1 metre from bottom and then divide by 2.5.

Is how it's done, apparently. She doesn't think it is accurate though. I can see why  ;)
Update: did it with an oak tree in our garden. At its narrowest point (the waist) it was 340 point something cm. Divided by 1.88 (average growth of oak trees per year) that gave 181 years. I'll have to ask my dad which ancestor planted it. He's always said it's about 200 years old.

You folks know about Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead? Well, it got an update recently known as "nested containers", where containers have items inserted into them. This means it's now possible to hold a briefcase in your hands to store things rather than having to equip it to gain the storage necessary. It also means wearing 5 1.00 Liter containers won't let you carry something that's 5 liters in size.

Unfortunately, the update appears to have introduced a number of bugs, including the following:

Finally got 'unfriended' by a certain person I semi-regularly argue with/make fun of on social media. :))
It is... kind of refreshing, losing some bloat from my friends list without having to be the one to do the un-friending. Feels a bit like a relief, a bit like a victory.

I learned about merge sort today. For some reason it amuses me.

"You know how we've got to make a sorted list from this unsorted one?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, a list of one element is sorted, right?"

"Uh... I suppose?"

"So what if we just split the list into a bunch of one-elememt lists that are already "sorted", without having to do any complicated work, and then just stitch them all together?"

The Saga of dumbass TERF JK Rowling accidentally copy-pasting stuff from a transphobic group she's part of into an advertisement for her children's book, threatening to sue anyone who reposted it, then complaining people were censoring her.

It was a Twitter thing, and I closed the window. Sorry, I should probably have posted it.

threatening to sue anyone who reposted it,
Always had a feeling she was a bitch, also why would you use something like that to advertise a kids book?

It wasn't deliberate. She posted some tweet promoting the book but somehow ended up with a bit of obscenity-loaded TERF related stuff after the body of the tweet. How exactly you go "buy my cutesy book. ... I'm going to kill you fuckers!" I'm not exactly sure how that happens, suffice to say that if you regularly peruse such material and post enough stuff online eventually some of that will leak out.

Here's another example, oddly related, and extremely funny:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/alex-jones-trans-porn-phone-infowars-marissa-minx-a8510801.html

Quote
Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, whose transphobic rants have seen his broadcasts removed from YouTube, unwittingly revealed transgender pornography on his phone, video appears to show.

The radio show host behind the controversial InfoWars brand was filming a segment promoting “personal wellness” products on an affiliate site when he clicked away from the page on his mobile phone.

For a split second the camera, still trained on his screen, revealed an array of open tabs including a page titled: “Naughty tbabe ...

Also reminds me of something i mentioned here before. Was helping someone with their tech problems during one of these job program things, and click on his phone, the browser comes up, and there's hardcore gay porn on there. Quickly closed that and never mentioned it. Luckily the guy wasn't paying attention and didn't notice. Would have been hella awkward.

It might be a bit of a dark humor but the timing of this video is hilarious to me.
