I've read some stuff suggesting you can sorta' hydrate off of (young, green) pine needles, so like if you're stuck out in the wild and desperately thirsty (and able to identify non-poisonous pine trees!), that'd be something to do.

Pine needle tea is also apparently rather popular -- dice the needles up fine and boil or steep them in water. Can prevent scurvy!

Some species of pine are kinda' poisonous, yes. Some aren't! You can do food things to the ones that aren't. You don't want to do food things to the ones that are. Not all pine needles are made equal from a human consumption standpoint.

I made my cousin metaphorically poop his pants in Dead by Daylight by crouch-walking toward him.

We were playing against a Scratched Mirror build of Michael Myers, which means they can sneak up on you good and proper and are quite scary to play against as you have no idea where they are unless you can see them.

Even more amusing, shortly after I scared him, the killer snuck up on him and scared him again.

Erdogan has decided to change the name for his country from Turkey to Türkiye, because he didn't like that his country was laughed at for being thanksgiving dinner.
Products for export will no longer have a "Made in Turkey" stamp, but a "Made in Türkiye", and Erdogan would like english speaking media and diplomats to use the new name henceforth.

You pronounce it the same as the Dutch 'Turkije'.

Turk - I - uh

A jolly gang of seven players, me included, seemingly assembled for an evening of Dominions 5.
Player 1 said that nay, he doesn't want to play anymore.
It turned out that Player 2 was put on the list by someone else, and he never wanted to participate.
I said a rude thing to Player 3. He turned it into a joke.
Two hours before start Player 4 expressed a desire to play without Player 3, as he does takes his time with his turns too much. Player 3 had enough of this rudeness and complied.
A hour before start Player 5 said that he still has work to do, so he can't play today.
With just three players there is no game. The organizer launched an angry tirade, exclaiming how everyone's behavior disgusts him and how he got up early after a night of drinking for this game. I might add that it was not merely a night, but three full days of constant drinking.
How could i have thought that first attempt to join blitz in two months will be succesfull?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And the one before that wasn't succesfull either. We played on a nationgen pack so grossly imbalanced, that on turn 25 other organizer said "enough of this", switched my nation to AI, then closed the game.

Yeah!
We had luck running games on this forum a while back.
Maybe you should try to organize the next round here?

Very long while back.  :P Not much harm in trying, but it doesn't look like trying to orginize a game there will succeed this time either.

To be fair, it was always Türkiye. At first the name was English-ised as "Turkei", but then changed into "Turkey", for some reason, and it stuck.

I don't really care either way. But he could instead requested that it was made Turkei so you guys wouldn't have to pronounce a letter that you don't have in your alphabets. That being "ü".

Just pronounce the -i- like the one in "importance", and -ye like the first part of "yeah". That should do it.
