A rogue security officer can kill a person. A rogue QM can kill half a dozen people. A rogue Captain can kill most of the crew. A rogue scientist, engineer, or atmos tech can kill the server.
Depends on the server and version.
If you're unlucky, a handcuffed monkey or a big cable coil can make the station go to shit, and that same coil, or shooting xenos with syringes, or two recorders and four voice analysers can kill the server.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Spoiler: The power of teamwork! (click to show/hide)
I know I'm missing the point, but she could've just closed the window.
People repeating a previous successful strategy even if an alternative strategy would be far more successful is a thing, acknowledging that I'm also missing the point. It's an interesting thing nonetheless, such as situations where a grandmaster chess player shown a successful solution to a chess problem when thrown immediately into a subsequent game will attempt to use this solution to fix a problem they could otherwise easily solve - and end up getting beaten by a scrub. So you get things in more relevant life where Generals or CEOs repeat winning strategies... Even in situations where such strategies will be anything but winning.

Hence the First World War getting half the young, male population of Europe killed.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

Edvard Grieg's Morning Mood was written for a scene in the play Peer Gynt. This song is played all the time in media to portray a lovely morning, birds chirping, sun rising, a peaceful idyllic scene, etc.

Never gonna look at that song the same way again. Thanks, college level music appreciation class.

Edvard Grieg's Morning Mood

I misread that as "Morning Wood"

I misread it as that even after you pointed out that it wasn't.

Why would the marines put that on their website. It doesn't make anything look good at all.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere about a drill sergeant who was complaining bitterly about how he saw the whole Lt Hartman routine as a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" charade, ever since Full Metal Jacket. If he did it, the recruits did not take it seriously anymore. And if he didn't and instead acted in a more serious professional matter, they were actually disappointed that they did not get the show.
