This reminds me of a conversation I had on a first aid conference for the company firemen brigade which I belonged back in one of my jobs. We were talking about poison, snakes and one thing led to the other, it was kind of like this:

Guy from the union: Why men have nipples?

Me: Because humans are mammals and they are vestigial on case of males.

GftU: Im not a mammal. I'm a men.

Me: That is not what I meant, you are a mammal as in the mammal branch of life, just as say cats, dolphins or dogs.

GftU: NO! I am a men!

Me: Are you human?

GftU: Yes.

Me: Then you are also a mammal, just like say, a sedan is not only a car but also belongs to the greater category of transports like a train or an airplane.

GftU: I don't come from no monkey!

Me: No, no, no serious scientist ever said we decent from any of the current "monkeys", we share a common ancestor but that's not the poin.....

GftU: NO! You are the mammal, I'm not, I AM A MEN!

Me: So what are you? A reptile? A bird? Mammal is not an insult you know, is just a...

GftU; You can be a mammal if you like.... I am a men, period.

Me: Okay, sure I'm a mammal, and perhaps you are right and you are not, lets keep carrying on with the reunion and what to do in case of a venomous bite.

GftU: cut it on a cross shape and suck the venom of course.

Me: (Having a little stroke) lets hear the instructor would we.

Edit: oh this guy was actually the co-president of the union back then. So yeah.... and this country is not precisely anti-science per se.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

I wonder if you could convince a guy like that to claim that he doesn't have nipples.

I mean, you can get anyone to claim that if you're sufficiently motivated. All you need as an aid is something able to non-fatally remove nipples.

Unrelated but I knew a guy who had 3 nipples. Our national health service offered to remove the third one for free but he said he'd rather keep it, they said fair enough. But two months ago I spoke to a doctor who said he saw a man with 5 nipples. Not all of us can be born so gifted

Humans are not inherently logical creatures. We gravitate onto what feels right, not what is right. Internal logic of these beliefs isn't a large part of the equation since people will just keep squeezing it around as they go.
...

Man's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Universe which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. God has not been proven not to exist, therefore he must exist.

From the download and launch guide for "The Nam: Vietnam Combat Operations" freeware standalone mod for C&C Tiberian Sun.

Judging from what videos I've watched of what happens after that... yes, that is a way to stop lag.
