I did a triple backflip of happiness on my chair while reading your answer ! Especially when I read "Linux version", because my laptop is quite old and struggle runing DF at more than 20FPS on windows, while on linux it reaches sth like 60FPS easily. You made my day, realy :)

Could you keep us informed with a weekly message containing a summary of what happened this week (concerning the development) and what will happen next week ?

If there are more reply on this discution your project is more likely to become popular and you may even receive help from other experimented devs.

A quick note for anyone who noticed: the Demo is back up.  It is now running on a linux machine.  ;)

i.e. the next release of DFeverywhere will feature linux support!

Cant wait for the Linux version!!!!!

When things get hectic at work, I shut my eyes and imagine a world where I can set up a craigslist dual xeon machine I got for 60 bucks at home as a Linux server with 40.24 running, that I can play remotely on my phone AT work.....and things get a little better...

Thanks you for working to make this world real.

Announcing the release of v0.1.7.  See the first post for details of how to install the linux version. Or read the steps on the website.

This version includes better code handling of random disconnections. The main update is linux support though.

As always let me know if any issues arise.

Thanks.

I think the demo game just went down; I attempted to do something (unpause) and it seems to have crashed.
Could be client-side, though.
This seems extremely fun and useful, by the way.

Yes, the computer did die; no, it probably wasn't you.  I have been having issues with that VM.

Hi there, I seem to be having the same problem as the person before me with regards to tilesets being too small. I've tried all the things you've suggested, but it seems DFEverywhere hates Spacefox.

I'll dig some more into it. I have also run across the issue, but it ended up fixing itself. This wasn't helpful from a debugging point of view.

Hello. Unfortunately, I still have not managed to test your remarkable development. I have a non-bootable any demo or public games, constantly endless load indicator. And when you try to start your game even on a completely clean version of DF I get crash your application after the message "Didn't find appropriate tileset image. Continuing". I tried to run your application from the administrator, I have updated Java, Flash and Python (although your application your interpreter). I do not know what else to do. Oh yeah, I tried on the computer and go to the site and also did not see a single game.
Please tell me, what do I do?

I've uploaded a new version (v0.1.8) to attempt to fix the problems with tile sizes. Check it out and see if it solves your issues!

I just tried it and it still crashes. Do I have to use a tileset btw? I mean, is vanilla ASCII working?
Oh and by the way it seems that I can't even watch a game, when clicking on the demo it just shows me the loading icon but nothing ever happens.
