It seems that adventurer color depends on the color of your armor.

Basically, I was walking around with some sort of cloth robe on covering my upper body.
I came across a <<Netherium Breastplate>> (Netherium is from my mod), and my adventurer's color went from grey to red.
I'm sure this is common knowledge, but I still think it is important.

This has actually been a thing since forever - I've personally observed it in version 0.23.130.23a.
