./df gets a Syntax Error? (Ubuntu)

When I try to run ./df, I get a message saying "Syntax Error "(" unexpected

If this is the wrong subforum, please point me in the right direction! Thanks for any help!

I couldn't say where that error's coming from (it doesn't look like a bash error, to me), but it's running fine for me on 13.04. What's your Ubuntu version?

Can you show us the contents of df and the output of readlink /bin/sh?
