I don't need money. Keep it for research.
Alright, thanks :)

Tip of the day: Pilots looking for exciting work are not advised to join an anti-kaiju organization. Such work simply doesn't exist at this time.
We'll see about that.

Might as well hop in as a Hero. A pilot, if that's ok with Nirur Torir. Willing to be hired by any of the Companies, as long as the work is exciting.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
SINCOM has an opening for somebody stupid enough to take samples from live Kaiju in whatever we cobble together.

Wait, I can actually be hired. Sign me up. Engineer Shamrock reporting for duty.

Spoiler: My Qualifications (click to show/hide)
Your application shows promise, but we would like to hear more about your methods and goals.

Write me in into the "HERO" list.

Spoiler: Qualifications (click to show/hide)
SINCOM has some interest in aerospace technicians, but would like to hear more about your methods and aims.

I'd like to join in, for pretty much anyone except Timmy Grant and the Kaiju Fighters.

Spoiler: My Resume (click to show/hide)

If there are no objections from Nirur Torir in terms of bookkeeping, I'd like to have some discretion in terms of projects, and regardless, a decent lab.
I'd like to sign up.  Please note that he is simply nuts.

Spoiler: Qualifications (click to show/hide)

I'm tired of living in the shadow of my more famous relatives, and instead of going into energy weapons, robots and magic, I build and customize vehicles.  Be warned, manical laughter is my constant companion.
Welp, I forgot about my sheet.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
SINCOM is always hiring, but finds these applications too sparse in details to warrant the assignment of an entire workshop or lab and associated workforce.

In all cases, please bear in mind that the director of a SINCOM lab will be expected to make great strides in terrible, terrible things not meant for mankind to know; directors of SINCOM workshops will have less pressure but also be more likely to have mundane assignments of a more supporting nature. SINCOM pilots are expected to outperform drones.

Score one for humanity.

Project direction. You're basically saying "Ooh ooh, pick me pick me! Give me control of some of your stuff!"

To which the obvious question is "Whatcha gonna do with it?" I mean, I can give you orders obviously, but there's no point hiring you if I'm just gonna use you as a limbless sentient output booster trapped in an eternal hell bolted to one of my walls.

And yes, that is SINCOM's next project.

Okay, note to self, head destruction is not a guaranteed victory, this will certainly require more investigation, until then:

Purchase one low-grade specialist (preferably into weaponry) (25C-5/M) as well as a Hospital Ward, we are going to need it.
Research:
Get those two undergrads to pointing down that kaijus location, any correlation between the kaijus?
(Just noticed, why are the two undergrads and engineers still shown as useable? I still have five engineers and 10 undergrads available.)
Put three general scientists and two undergrads to a basic, lightweight and fast helicopter design, it doesn't have to have any weaponry on it, but we need to be there quicker next time.
Put the remaining two G.Scientists+one undergrad on the job of studying any footage, asking any living soldiers, anything about the first kaiju attack and how cannon fire through its throat would have taken it down.

engineering devision:
All engineers (after detoxifying the room of course) (3) and remaining undergrads (3)will continue with the exoskeleton project, come on guys, we need this!

military division:
Stop all training and drills for the next month and tell them that they need to understand this scuicide mission would not have ever been preformed if I hadn't thought it would have been completely nessecary, and promise them that from now on, I will do everything I can to make sure they make it out of this alive.

(So now I have 115 credits left, have a net income of 310, I can go with that.
Oh and you have preliminary skin research down twice, is that on purpose?)

Spoiler: My Qualifications (click to show/hide)
Your application shows promise, but we would like to hear more about your methods and goals.
My methods include but are not limited to, using live live testing subjects (undergrads), destruction of highly expensive equipment (but cheap can be used if it is a concern) for demonstration, elimination of endangered species if they provide valuable materials. This is done to accomplish my goals of armoured vehicles that can destroy any target from small rodents to large cities via the liberal application of firepower, be it shells, fire, acid or melee weaponry all for the righteous slaughter. I hope this answers your questions on my methods and goals.

Yours sincerely,
Archibald Shamrock.

Basically, there may be many scientists who build crazy magic technology of Doom, with it perhaps never arriving due to extensive and eternal modification plans and mission creep.  Doom thinks they are all fools, and will work on solutions for today's problems today, with the intention of quick development of solid platforms.  More details as per his immediate thoughts and plans are ready, and he would be happy to show them to interested individuals if requested in private.

In short, though, a mad scientist who works on non-mad science projects, aiming to produce viable combat devices in a minimum of time.

..and yes, crazy technology is fine, but expect Doom to want to turn it into weapons rather than push the boundaries farther, with nothing extant to show for the progress.

Upgrade the airfield to a large airfield, and add a set of hangars to it
Put an offer out to the other X Companies: The Fantastically Armed Foundation for Nemesis Identification and Research (F.A.F.N.I.R.) is looking for skin and bone samples, and will pay 100 credits for either of these materials.
Hire Johan Svensson (30 CR monthly)

Plasma. An amazingly useful form of matter, it can be suspended in magnetic fields to form blades[1][2], forcefields[3], propulsion systems[4] and can also be used in a variety of quasi-projectile weapon systems[5].

As for design strategy, I believe we need overpowered and overclocked systems to even come close to matching the kaiju's ability to regenerate, even if the cost in parts and efficiency loss is steep. As is, nobody has managed to bag a kaiju on their own, and I believe I can help get us there.

Elizabeth Shuu, who was currently inside a secure bunker in [classified] Smiled when the letter of acceptance came in, soon she would be the envy of her peers, and possible created if a race of Human-Kaiju-Cyborgs..... But perhaps it would make more sense to take it one at a time.
