Age of Wonders

It would be fun to play Age of Wonders, I don't care which one, I have all of them.

Could be interesting to set up PBEM for shadow magic.

May be interested.
I have never played multiplayer before though.

Okay, so we got one vote for Shadow Magic.
AoW 3 will be the easiest to set up because of the server list and things like that.

Hmm, I might be down for Shadow Magic. It's simple enough to load up a LAN session through Hamachi.

From what I remember, online SM is crap. If you play by email, you lose all tactical combat, and suffer from not seeing enemy moves.
Getting even two players to play a direct link game is a pain, and more than that will be even harder. But we did manage to organise a similarly(but not as much) online-challenged game of Fall from Heaven a while ago. Unlike in Civ and its mos, here there'll be long bouts of inactivity for all, as somebody else fights a large battle. I'm not sure if saving the game is an option too.
The only way I've found it to be playable, is the hotseat mode.

I assume we're talking about Vanilla Shadow Magic here, which is pretty fun if a bit samey (everyone gets a pikeman, a swordsman, an archer, a priest, and a horseman.)

Dwiggs mod ftw! :)

I don't know about that, a group of fiends of mine make a monthly game-night of this (and there's usually about 5-6 of them). A word of advice though: bring a good book (or a smartphone) you'll be spending more time with it than playing.
