Dwarf Fortress Challenge List

In the vien of ADOM's massive list of gameplay challanges, i've decided to start this thread with that idea in mind. For anyone unfamillar with this sort of idea, the basic train of thought for creating a new challange is this:

1) Gameplay rules do not apply; only the challenge's rules matter. A challange which breaks gameplay rules or institutes its own, may for instance force the player to disobey a nobles' wishes; or force the player to take along no initial axes, or food.

2) A "Winning objective" is not necessary for a challange. Challenges do not require time frames; the challenge could effectively stretch into infinity.

3) The only gameplay rule that is a restriction to player-created challenges is that they must always involve one dwarf, at any times. Due to the way the game is coded, if all dwarves are killed, the fort is lost... Thus, all challenges must (but doesn't need to center around) keep alive a minimum of 1 dwarf.


All challenges listed [or posted] below must have a name and rules that do or do not modify gameplay rules. Optionally, a description of how it'll play should be placed into the post as well. Below are 2 examples:


Name: 90 Degree Fort
Rules: Every room that is dug by the player must be made to be a square, or retangle. The river, chasm, and lava flow are exempt from this rule, as they are not player-dug rooms.
Example: There can be no rough edges; if a room has 1 tile dug out of one of it's walls, that entire wall must be removed to form a perfectly square or retangular room. Curved corridors arn't allowed, either.

Name: 7 Dwarf Maximum
Rules: The player must not allow any more [then 7] dwarves to exist in the Fort [at any one time;] original settlers, nobles, or immigrants, the number of dwarves must not exceed 7!
