Literary Challenge
« on: August 05, 2014, 07:38:04 pm »

Okay so i have had this idea for a while now

my idea is a LITERARY CHALLENG cue fireworks.

What i wan is either short stories or novels or a chapter, based off a game
I don't entirely mean a fanfiction. What i want is it to be based, from the really small or really big, on a game.
This may be confusing but I hope it isn't.
I don't want the main plot just rewriten.

My idea came from me playing Kairosoft games, for mobile phones.

They make simulation games. Game devoping one, hot springs, school, race car, hoarse racing, ninjas. THey have alot of simulation games. So i thought it would be cool to write a story basing off of one of the game.
By really small, i mean you could just used one or 2 characters or just the porfession, like a game company.

by really big, follow the weird game mechanics  down to a t. In the 'pocket acadamy' by kairosoft, you can hire a duck as a teacher and a ghost, as well as the animals that they raise turn in to strange things, a mole matures into a toy hammer.

I don't know if I am making any sense but c'est la vie.

other ideas could be.
in the sims, you make a house and a sim and make the house a scene and the main character you sims.

in bioshock, make a story with the pre-dystopia Rapture the setting.

make Agent 47 try to kill the main character.

It is up to you. and send me the stuff, I would love to read it!!!

Ask any question!!! hell I honestly don't think any one will bite or most people won't read this, but if i have a chance anywhere it is here on Bay12

Quote
Pick a game, and write a chapter on it. Make it as connected to the game as you like, but try not to diverge too much from the original idea. Post it here in story format.
Dwarf summed it up nicely.

That's a good idea, but you may want to write it so others can understand it easily. Not many people want to read through something that's not easy to understand. What I understand from it is:

Pick a game, and write a chapter on it. Make it as connected to the game as you like, but try not to diverge too much from the original idea. Post it here in story format.

May I suggest that it also be judged? Perhaps by you, or other Forum goers. Either works. In essence, this sounds like a good way to hone writing skills, but you didn't word your post very legibly.
