The Iron Bands split into two groups, one group boarding the pirate ship and the other battling the pirates themselves at the steps into town.  Lidia recovers some health and Jora begins a complicated series of movements that render her extremely difficult to hit.

Jora straightened up from her feint--playing dead to obscure any signs of life on her. It was a viable tactic, though it did quite amplify the pain. She thanked Bata profusely under her labored breathing.

"Up North, by one of the paths leading outside the village. I managed to catch sight of them turning tail and dropping their loot. They're...prepared. I am unsure for which."

She took a moment to catch her breath.

The villagers are also mostly unharmed--I saw one look out from the Inn, right near us. Same goes for the red roofed building there. They have occupants."
