(For when it rolls around to me)
I too shall play a Grappling Hook! Discarding an Intrigue and an Architect.

Sounds of frenzied rummaging through a pack
"I say where did I leave that wineskin...this place is such a dreadful heat. I am working up a powerful thirst. Where the devil has Terraldo gotten to...I could use his help..did he even come with me...I say! What is this... I dont remember packing a grappling hook..
Like my father always said, 'A grappling hook will always be helpful'."

I will put down a HEALING POTION. Discard PUZZLE BOX and ALCHEMIST'S FIRE. A true king must always prepare for death, lest he fall too soon.

I will discard my GLASS OF TRUE SIGHT and COMBAT to play MYSTERIOUS SACK And then play my HEALING POTION for free.

Also question on the healing potion, I think attack means all three types of of attack, including combat, intrigue, and puzzle right?

Valer reached into the sack he had purchased from that merchant a while back, it would be now or never to see if his purchase was worth it. The first thing he pulled out was a flask full of some red liquid, a healing potion he assumed, but there was something else in there, so Valer reached back in...

Quote
HEALING POTION [ARTEFACT] - Heals wounds, soothes pain.
Discard when attacked.  Counts as +3 cards for defensive purposes.  Cost: 1 Card.

You may retain one of those cards, the Healing Potion is cheaper than that.  And yes, it defends against all 3 attack types, it's pretty swank like that.  I would also request that people copy out the statblock for the cards they are playing (no need for discarded cards or ones still in your hand).

Spoiler: Pieces in Play (click to show/hide)

Unless any last placements are made, the round traditions into the Action Phase.  Players may begin taking Actions now.

Oh wait, doesn't my sack do something? Or do I need to activate it myself? Is that a placement or a action? Shit.

You may discard the Sack at any time.  I'll send you a spoilered PM with the card it produces - if you choose to discard it, open the spoiler.  If not, ignore it.

Yes, I discard the sack, It doesn't seem to do anything, so unless there are some negative artifacts it can only be a good thing.

Edit: Ah, I see. It could also be a neutral thing with a large opportunity cost.

Edit 2: Fuck, I will just discard my INTRIGUE.

Valer pulled out the sack a large flask of some type of clear liquid. It appeared that he had been trick, a bit of water and a potion of healing for what he had paid? Totally not worth it. He didn't even drink water! With a sigh he threw the bottle behind his back and continued on. Not noticing that the plants around where the bottle had broken open shriveled up as the potent poison took effect.

Action Phase
Same turn order as before: Mopples, Uristy, Valer, Ronald, Varian.

To answer a question in advance, you can pass a phase without penalty.  You are not required to play a card.

Spoiler: Pieces in Play (click to show/hide)

Uristy is so sharp, he can solve two puzzle cubes at the same time!

Pass the Action Phase.

The layabout d'Avistral simply lounges beneath the shade of a tree, conserving his strength for what lies ahead.

My schedule dosn't look as bad as I thought it might be. I'll drop a character to get in on the second game assuming somebody dies.

I will retain ALCHEMIST'S FIRE. I play
SCOUT [ACTION] - Your Pawn discovers new pastures to explore.
Draw 2 cards.  Cost: Nothing.  Discard after play.
