Cool! I just noticed this in my sparring reports:
Urist Mcsoldier: I have mastered Shield. That was very satisfying!

I like these many little additions of detail that came with df 2014.

Yes, the best part of DF is it's complexity. For example, I once met a crazy priest named the Holy Lobster, but the random generator didn't stop.Instead, He went on to explain how the Gods will reveal the meaning of life to one who dresses as seafood. It's also really cool when a dwarf crafts a figurine and you get to read a description an ancient Dwarven king hefting his steel battle axe and downing a mug of booze simultaneously.
