45 metals for you, all real-life, all with correct numbers excepting potassium, calcium and where otherwise noted.

I find all the fantasy metals that get modded in rather tiresome.  They make candy less special, are usually unbalanced (such as Masterwork DF's omnipresent mithril - better than steel and much easier to make) and, in my eyes at least, are less Dwarfy.

Though slade is Dwarfy - a big overpowered perhaps - but very Dwarfy.

More real-world metals, alloys and realistic metal processing industries I just love to bits.

One of the things I would love to see is more types of steel added to DF.  Because steel is Dwarfy, and it would be cool to have a range of steels with different costs of manufacture and different useful properties.

And the same principal could be extended to other metals.  Specialized bronze alloys for example.

There's also the option to give Dwarfs magically amazing smelting industries so they could play with metals that are just fantastically rare in the real world.  Anyone want to arm their Dwarfs with osmium warhammers?  I sure would!
