yo! i sometimes had this issue even on old versions but never that frequently. i'm in a cold biome and a snow storm is ongoing. everything has been white but suddenly the whole snow disappeared and the map turned green again though the snow storm is still doing its thing, slowly covering everything in snow again, but after x - xx seconds the snow gets cleared again. and the whole thing repeats over and over with  a different time span to the next disappearance. is it a bug, a weird biome thing or a technical issue? or did the snow melt? (as suddenly as frozen rivers etc melt)

edit: a kind person on irc told me its melting and df checks every couple frames for the whole snow, thanks!
