And so begins the tale of Erush Erarrovod (Ledarches) and his trek from Galleyworks to the Museum!
9th of Galena, 53Word finally came in today. I had been approved by the Natural History Museum, Domas Cenath, to aid them in their search for fauna, flora, minerals and exceptional artifacts to display in their halls. Oh this is so exciting! They must have been very impressed on my thesis concerning Kasbe Youngdrools the Sports of Raunch, one of the few documented hydras. The most fascinating portion had to be the dietary habits of the hydra, which seemed to mostly consist of almost 50 percent elf flesh. I hypothesized that such a feeding pattern was born out of vehemence, or simply a disdain for elf kind, as Elves could not possibly have much nutritional value in those gangly looking bodies.
A short prayer to Atir passes by my lips, before I head out of my room in Galleywork, and off to the wilds.
Who the hells designed this place? Had they done a complete renovation during my last time sleeping? Wouldn’t put it past them I suppose. Took me over an hour of searching before I finally asked some directions from a fellow. He seemed just as perplexed at the new layout, but he at least new where the blooded stairs were.

Ahh, the Fresh air. Now to start my way south. Headed up the mountains past the entrance, and saw some mountain goats. An excellent first specimen!
Blast. The damndable things scattered. Should have been more quiet in my approach to them I suppose starting off simple would be the best approach. Been long time since I was in the field anyways, and a face full of goat horn sending me careening off this cliff would not be a great start.
Evening has fallen, and I take a stock of my gathered items so far:
Oat Leaf, Blueberry Leaf, Blueberries, Larch Needles
Not bad if I do say so myself. I made my way to a Hillock by the name of Fortresssling in The Spattered Forests Region to spend the night. The militia commander was gracious enough to allow me use of his and his compatriots abode.
It is the wee hours of the morning. Barely enough light by the moon which to write with. I cannot sleep. I must press on, I’m far too excited to show my first pieces to the new museum exhibits!
I continue on as the Sun rises, following a trail south. The trip as of yet today is uneventful. I head Southeast to the Hillock of Crafttongs, hoping to spend the night in the area. One of the people gladly lets me stay, but tells me to be wary, as there have apparently been sightings of a Hill Titan nearby.
Uneventful for most of the day. Just reached foot of the mountains. Will try and trek then to get to the sea. Armok’s blood these are steep.
It took a greater part of the day to scale the mountain down to the sandy beaches. I spotted a crab on the shore. Should be easy enough to capture, and carry, seeing as my next journey will be by sea.
I…may have been a bit too overzealous in my attempts to kill the crab…. The albatross that came to pick at the remains of the crab was a far easier kill. Ahaha! Lucky me I was able to even find the corpse of the crab beneath the surf!
I’m outta shape, nearly drowned while crossing the channel. I’m on the other side though, which is what I was hoping for…now to just scale more damned cliffs. I downed another Albatross when I reached the top. This one I will need to butcher. I’m running out of food. Though I will keep its skull. Maybe the museum will stake some worth on it, learning of beast’s anatomy is important as keeping a full corpse is it not?

I managed to get even more clean specimens of both an Albatross male, and female! I’ve decided to butcher the other, more mangled corpse.
Made it cross the land in the day, and will Swim by the night across the strait. But I must get a drink first. My throat is like sandpaper. The only river is down this canyon…just gotta…….
My thirst is parched. Now I simply need to scale down the mountain.

I survived the night. My wounds have mended somewhat, though I’m thirsty, growing parched once again. What I would do for a good Ale. Yak blood will have to suffice though. Still too weak to swim or scale the cliffs yet. Need more rest and food.
Traveling for a while, barely made it up the cliff. My shoulders are still tweaking me. I still trek southbound through the mountains. Wish I had bought an extra water-skin. Been needing to kill an animal almost every day to get blood to drink….I miss ale. Not bringing the corpses with me for the museum…After that fall I’m afraid to weigh myself down too much lest I fall off a cliff face again.
Finally I’m free of the Mountains and before the final strait of water!
Huuraah! I have landed on the shores of The Jungles of Diminishment! I’m but a stone’s throw from the Museum! I headed south, and stayed the eve in the hillock of Staffwing. Odd place….Mayor of the place is a human. Though I suppose humans are best at that bureaucratic nonsense.
Curses! There was another body of water! Blast these inaccurate maps! I have to travel far east to bypass the blooded mountains as well!
Landed on the shore, and much to my surprise found something that would be a wonderous edition! Peacocks and Peahens! I must do well not to damage these specimens!

Rested in Paintdance, will be at the museum by the evening of tomorrow! I’m sure of it!
Attacked by a honey Badger. I struck a few blows against it, but it scampered off.
I made it! I shall recuperate in the way station for a while, and drop off my items, as well as the list. Found a Dingo skeleton just outside the way station. Might as well grab it as well for the collections

The lever was a bit sticky on the deposit chute, but a few swift kicks made short work of it. Perhaps should tell folks to oil it up proper. Perhaps I'll take a tour round to see the framework of the museum, before heading to a nearby hillock for some relaxation, maybe write another paper up and prep for some field research another day.
Phew. I'll upload some images to it later on. Probably will not use ALL of the seasons that I have banked up in my travel.
Oh, and tip for future if you start far away. LEVEL UP CLIMBING! I actually fell over a dozen times in the adventure, luckily the others I was only about 2-4 levels high. That major fall was more like....10+. I barely survived with one arm unbroken, and my spine and head safe. Sadly I was in too much a panic to get a proper screenshot >.<
