Very good argument by escaped lurker. Band of equal size. Also that part about the hissing was hilarious!

They till the fields to feed themselves and raise chickens and goats. They give the animal blood to the minions and they give some of their own blood to the higher-ups. Humans breed better than vampires. You get 2 humans and you end up with 3 humans. That's a +1 to the amount of animate beings. A vampire and a human and you end up with 2 vampires - zero sum.

This is what happens when I don't get enough sleep. I'm talking about who gets what blood and then I suddenly start talking about breeding? Why? The reason was that that was the example I was going to use for my argument of why we don't just vampirise everyone and simply have those vampires raise the chickens and goats. Another reason I just thought of is that it's easier for humans to work all throughout the day, which is important because there's more day than night during any given... day.
