Nikolai also has a message for him, to make him know that Veyriden and the rest of Kizamo will aid him in the counterattack against Ixion's invasion. They need that information to plan the next step in their strategy. As for you... You're free to do as you please. Whether you want to stay in Veleria, travel somewhere else or go back to fighting as proper mercenaries is up to you. I will be grateful of what you've done for us regardless of your choice.

"I'm with her. If she's staying with you guys, then so am I. Bet that means Senija will stay too, won't you sis?"

"I'm already here, and I've already made myself an enemy of Ixion, may as well see this through."

"This city has a port right?"

Lilly returned Tomik's gesture, stepping a bit closer as she did.

"Well it seems like a good chunk of us want to stay at least. Kyle, if you want to leave, I understand. Same with anyone else. No one should feel obligated to stay just because some of us are. But, Lady Anne-Laude, for those of us who are staying, what can we do to help?"

Kyle looks offended.
"The fuck mate? If this is a port city they're probably going to back up invasions with an attack from the sea. And as some of you may know, I want to kill the fucking cunt that drove my mother to ruin and as it just so happens he's a ship captain. So, there's a chance I can kill two birds with one stone while here."

"Ah, my fault, I apologize. I spoke in haste and that was wrong of me. Good to know you will stick with the group. You're a strong fighter and we need all the fighters we can get I suspect."

"I'll uh... I'll take that as more a compliment than you just saying that I'll do."

Albert scratched his head.
  "I won't just walk away from all of this. Plus, the whole matter with the heart, I doubt I could walk away even if I wanted to. So, what's the plan?"

: Alright I guess I'll land here...

They weren't particularly close to the city walls, but a squad of guards were already around the area. After the ship landed, Anne-Laude was the first to disembark, and the first that the guards gave the halt to.

Who are you and what is your intent?

: I am Lady Anne-Laude... Lady Luso of Auroch, this seal proves it. She showed the Heaven Seal from Lord Luso. These people are here with me, thanks to them I'm here. I request an emergency audience with the Archbishop to inform him. Can you take me to the Cathedral?

The guards straightened up when they saw the seal.

L-lady Anne-Laude? We thought you were... Of course!

The guards lead the way to the gates and towards the Cathedral. As they were led down the main street of North Veleria, they could see the city was nothing like they've seen before, it was bustling with the activity of its citizens, surrounded with great shops, libraries, markets, parks, and the Cathedral towering over them.

"It's oddly reassuring that in every town in Alberal, from the capital to the smallest pigsty, the local church is always the biggest building. It gives every town a sense of familiarity."

Lilly wiped her hands off on her pants as she walked; her palms were a little damp from nervousness. Veleria was one place she hadn't been, for one thing, and for another they were here on serious business. Let alone what they were going to do with the whole Heart deal.

"I guess Lamden's going to go with her. Do you think the rest of us ought to, too, or would we be intruding, or what?"
