Another option would be to each have our own channels, then create a single channel where we just put playlists and add our videos to the relevant lists? That way we don't have to upload twice (some of us don't have access to fast internet). : )

It's a better idea than uploading twice, but then who controls the channel?

Whoever has a voice that could read off a once-a-week or biweekly news that could include devlogs being read off, as well as stating what has updated on various channels?

That's a good idea. The original videos on the channel could just be complications and top ten type of things, laced with a helping of DF news. Then the rest could just be playlists to distribute attention to the contributors.

Now comes the question of who that person would be (could be a group of people, each working on a separate segment, taking over another for a short time if someone becomes sick), the name of the channel, and what the Banner image and Avatar should be.

I guess we could do the bog-standard dwarf face and world map for the avatar and channel art. "Dwarven Bookkeeper" might do for a name, seeing as the channel appears to be mostly bookkeeping. I don't mind doing organisational/administrative stuff, but I'd prefer someone else to do so if at all possible.

...

I'm really excited about this for several readily apparent reasons.

Avatar and art sounds good to me, at very least it would be a good one to use at start-up.

Since it isn't easy to change channel names (in my experience, at least), we probably want to wait for a few more before we decide upon a final name.

I can't think of any Organizational/Administrative stuff besides getting playlists sorted, but I could be surprised.

I'm really excited about this for no apparent reason.  :-[

Pulling the community together in another way?
Drawing awareness to Dwarf Fortress?
Community games able to be portrayed in a video style as well as text?
Drawing attention to various mods and utilities?
Creation of a number of different tutorials for Dwarf Fortress?
If a partnership is made, the potential to raise Toady's standard of living by having the money from views, ads, etc flowing into his donations?

There's probably many things I haven't thought of, but, take your pick.

Could help us pick the channel name for the 'super'-channel.

I like the idea of "Dwarven Bookkeeper", but maybe that would be better as a playlist or classification name.
