Tick 111: SGame Over (not the epilogue)
« on: October 10, 2014, 09:03:45 pm »

The premise of the game is simple: You are a bunch of world-creating gods/god-like beings who must design a world by committee and/or subterfuge. The execution is somewhat less simple.

Major updates will take place once a day past 12:00 UTC (or 04:00 PST or 07:00 EST). Half updates will occasionally take place once a day at or (slightly?) before 00:00 UTC (or 16:00 PST or 19:00 EST) where my schedule and brain permit.

Character sheets should probably follow this template:
Code: [Select]
Name:
Sphere:
Primary form/associated symbol:
Description/Background:

Also, they go in the OOC thread now.

You may optionally PM secret (or not-so-secret) goals of grand scale, e.g. an entropy player wishing to bring about a very early heat death. Eliminating your sphere's opposite is not secret enough to require a PM.

A god game is not a very easy one to master nor play, especially with mutable rules and player conflict. I'm in.

Name: Dar-MA-GOme
Sphere: Honor
Primary form/associated symbol: A golden-scale dragon with a decadent robe. Walks bipedally most of the time. Hates the color green with a passion. Wields a crescent sword. It is shaped like a sickle, and has dragon breath detailing. Outer edge is extremely sharp, and used for slicing through things like butter. Inner edge is jagged and has teeth, and is used to catch weapons and saw into unfortunate attackers. Has a cloth attached, which allows him to swing the blade around. The cloth hides the emerald runed into the blade.
Description/Background: Simply king of a dragon empire. Brutally exiled his brother for (falsely being accused of) killing his father. The brother has gone insanely envious, and wants EVERYTHING for himself

Note: Heavens, minirealms, and afterlives for your followers and personal servants are not included with your world purchase. You will have to arrange for their creation after the start of the game, whether by vote or by personal creation.

Name: Valkiss
Sphere: Treachery
Primary form/associated symbol: A blue-skinned, red-eyed humanoid wearing a dark red cowl. His symbol is a wasp impaling its own chest with its long, curved stinger.
Description/Background: Empires fall from within. Such is the way of things, and the true measure of said empire's worth and its ruler's ambition. Oaths that cannot be broken and lines that cannot be crossed serve only to ask a very simple question:

Do you want it?

Sound fun.

Name: Fusil
Sphere: Weapons (Failing that, War)
Primary form/associated symbol: A single, vertical bronze bar with flames on either side acts as a symbol. When he chooses to appear, he takes over the weapon of one of his followers, speaking through it. Failing that, he forms a speaking flame in a flammable object.
Description/Background: A protective and vengeful god, who cares greatly for the safety of his followers and their loved ones, offering vengeance to any who do harm to them. He has no mercy reserved for those who harm his followers or get in his way, destroying them like trash.

Don't worry. Even if there are only ideological gods, the game will still start and worldbuilding will still be possible. If you want to change anything (or even completely rewrite your entry), you are still welcome to do so at this point, although the usual policy of discouraging excessively similar spheres still applies. I admit, playing a primordial elemental god of some sort might actually be fun in its own way. I did try balancing it so that deities can choose to be be primarily nature-based (natural influence-based Essence income) or worshipper-based (Worship-based Essence income), but it seems like I overemphasized the worship part.
